This is just an extension of internet marketing, as more and more people are starting to spend more time on their mobile devices and less time on their mobile devices and less time on their mobile devices and just on theit computers it was inevitable that the internet marketers would move into this forum of marketing. There are a lot of simlarities between intenet marketers and mobile marketing but there are also some pretty important differences. Understanding these is important if you want to be successful with your mobile marketing campaign.

The best part about mobile advertising is that it allows us to target certain consumers by linking them to their own personal phone number. This makes for personalized advertising which we couldnt do as marketers before through any other medium, except for social media!

To be serious, I can say that mobile marketing is a great tool for promotion. The main point in it that you have to be even more creative to reach results here. There are some common ways to advertise via mobiles – SMS marketing, placing ads on the web browsers and applications, sending PUSH-notifications, QR codes, location based services etc. So, you just have to choose which of the ways is more appropriate to you and start working on it.

It is a very useful way to advertize some thing because

I think that in our days it's extremely important to understand that most people will use their mobile to watch videos, facebook and website once they are outside or even at home while not next to a computer.
Therefor you have to build your website, email campaign, banners according to this new standards to fit Smartphones & Tablets.

It includes sending SMS, MMS and direct calling to people to let them know some new products or services or some existing offers on them. Now almost all companies mainly those from FMCG or clothing, keep sending regular notifications to the customers. I am personally attached with several brands like KFC, P & G, Addidas, Lufthansa Airlines etc who send me regular notifications of their new offers. I get to know about them instantly. Mobile marketing is used mainly for promotional activities of new products or services launched by the company. Actually it is complement to internet marketing where much detailed information are given. Mobile marketing allows the company to reach out to the target customers as they collect the mobile numbers mainly from the purchase records.
