App Reviews Poser...

What's the best way of earning app reviews on the UK app store?

What would be the best way of getting users to review your app or are there other ways?

Any pointers or ideas of best practice?

What a lot of app creators do, is design a pop up for maybe 2-3 days after the customer downloads your app, that will redirect them back over to the app store to leave you a review. I would say about 40-50% of people will actually respond and leave you a rating through just that pop up alone.

It's all about telling the user what to do, and guiding them to wherever you want them to go. Without guidance, they are never even going to think about reviewing just another app...

Give them two options,

A) unlock a feature for PAY
or
B) unlock the same feature for free by posting a review.

Combine that with the bold and it works very well.

Thanks guys, the app has already been submitted to the app store now, so the pop-ups are not an option as such, but I'll see if I can work an update into it.

Many thanks

This is a great article how Circa app found a way to ask for reviews and got almost 4,5 star rating on average.

If you need reviews faster you can buy them. There are dozens of services who can supply them. Just be careful with choosing a partner for this work.
