Thanks Will R but I feel that is too time consuming and would much rather give them an independent affiliate account but I appreciate the answer. You got any other ideas?

Hosting is the obvious answer (ie create their mobile site for free or at a discounted rate as long as they host with you). Another idea would be to set up mobile-specific city business directories, then charge a monthly rate for "preferred" listings (and/or sell ad space). Of course, the amount and quality of traffic that you can drive to the sites would determine how much you could charge. I don't have any experience with setting up mobile-specific directories (yet), but I know there are a ton of regular city business directory sites out there that do very well, so I don't see why mobile-specific ones couldn't be just as successful. Also, Will mentioned SMS... which doesn't necessarily have to be time-consuming. For example, you could write a very detailed guide about the benefits of SMS, and how to set up & manage campaigns, etc, then include your affiliate links to good, *easy to use* SMS providers. Or, link the guide to your website that provides detailed reviews of several popular SMS providers, with your affiliate link to each one. You wouldn't make anywhere near as much as setting up & managing their SMS campaigns for them, but it would be a lot more "hands off". |

My company has had the best success with charging $30/mo. for Android hosting and $60/mo. for both Android and Apple. It doesn't really matter how small the monthly payment is... You just have to look at the big picture and focus on your customer retention. Also, you can charge a monthly fee for an update service, in case the person doesn't want to update the app on their own. This would be best if you have a dedicated person for this after a while, but pretty much he would be on call to update the customer's app whenever they need it. We've charged $150/mo. just for this convenience service, and now we have a certain guy that takes care of all that work. | |

Well as a SMS white label reseller, it shouldn't be time consuming if you set up a platform where it's self service. The majority of your work would revolve around selling SMS mobile marketing and introducing your product to customers. Once sold, since it is self service, your clients can log into their independent accounts and manage their own campaigns. |

Hi, yes, I also do believe that making applications for your customers with some extra features can bring you a great recurring income. Don't forget that you can provide such services as push notification for your clients and charge that as well on monthly basis. That's mean that you can make start up fee for developing app and recurring fee for: 1. Maintenance 2. Hosting 3. Updates 4. Push notifications. regards Maksym |

You can also go after local list building via mobile phones and Facebook ads. We have done very well in this space and it is continuing to grow when we added local based apps as well. This gave it more connection with the local consumers. If you are looking for a complete mobile marketing platform check this one out How To Start A Mobile Marketing Business |

Just curious if the official poster ever got started with a white label solution for either mobile marketing via SMS text messaging or custom branded mobile apps?
