Much appreciated Jamie! Thanks for the input! I too did not meant this to be turned into a platform vs platform thing as each platform has their strengths.

I did not take into account of the monthly charges of each sites, thanks for pointing that out! I think it's safe to say I've made my decision, Mobelio it is!

Re: What Is The Best Mobile Website Builder?

Interesting debate, so as a full time mobile developer I thought I'd share my thoughts.

I have tried pretty much every mobile website builder from web based applications like dudamobile, everyonemobile, pijnz and lots of others, as well as downloadable builders and the various templates here from WSO's.

They all have their places and a lot depends on your business model, as mentioned a few times by others in the thread:

If you only intend to offer mobile as an ancillary service then I would use templates both html and wordpress (you can't go wrong with Jumpmobi for wordpress tbh it's great when used in conjunction with a good responsive theme). I honestly don't see the need or justification for monthly subs for a builder in this instance tbh.

However if your business model leads with mobile website provision and marketing, or that's all you do (like me), then having the option of a web based builder is a must.

I think the important things to take into consideration when choosing a builder are:-

Cost - make sure you check out the true cost including any extra's (Prime example Dudamobile white label seems a good deal on the face of it but as Jamie pointed out that doesn't actually include the cost of any sites.

Ease of use - time is always going to be a factor so if your building your client sites yourself you need to be able to build them quickly and easily.

Can I scale easily? - This for me is very important and again it's been mentioned before if you want to scale then you don't need to be building all the sites yourself or even maintaining them. So having the ability to offer a simple to use DIY solution at low monthly cost is a must or you might just as well stick to templates.

Speed of Implementing new tech and ideas is also important to me from a builder, there are some very big companies out there offering builder services the problem with them is they can become insular to the actual needs and wants of their customers almost pre-defining how mobile sites have to be. I may be only a small part of their overall business revenue but if I have an idea I want it to be at least entertained seriously rather than getting a canned response saying we will consider it and then hear nothing ever about it again.

There are a lot more considerations and mostly they need to be determined from your own business model.

However if I were to recommend a builder right now it would be Mobelio ( I have no fiscal interest in the company) as a new start up they have the basics and are working hard and diligently to add features and polish the builder and the sites it can produce.

I still run other builders that I have clients based on and I'm not ready yet to move them to Mobelio, but in the next 12 months I will, I am sure, move them over.

and that's all I have to say take it or leave it...

Ron

Wow. Impressed with all the posts but still I like Empower. The new blogging platform gives me the control with real time updates with the ability to post blogs, pics and videos within minutes from my phone. You still can't beat them being in the top 200 of sites in the world and top 100 in the US. I'm not a tekkie whatsoever, just a grandma, but for me a blog already programmed to work on the go saves me time so I can get right to the work of blogging and syndication. Can't keep looking for the perfect shiney object, just gotta pick one and go with it. I may be way off course for what you are looking for but never hurts to throw it out there! Have a super day!

To your prosperity,

When you ready to choose a Desktop software or an online CMS to create your mobile Websites, make sure that mobile Website will work on all mobile devices. Not all mobile website design applications will generate an html code that will work everywhere.

Google Maps Contact Extractor, a google maps scraper software (Scrape google places data)
Yellow Pages Scraper software an easy to use Yellow pages scraper software
Yelp Data Scraper software, extract data from yelp website.
Management-Ware Extract Anywhere, Website data extractor software, create your scraper to extract data from almost any website. Door to door CRM software.

I've now narrowed down between Duda mobile and Mobelio. Any one who had tried both and kindly give a weigh in?

I kinda like Mobelio, it's clean, has lots of potential and I'm familiar with both Jamie and David.

But Duda white label seems to offer more customizations and their mobile sites looks just slightly more polished than Mobelio.

In terms of pricing, I was leaning more towards Mobelio at $299/yr vs Duda's $399/yr. But later discovered $299/yr for Mobelio is only for a reseller account. Dig a lil bit deeper and found Mobelio's white label to be about $150/mo. Now all of the sudden, Dudawhite seems more attractive.

Have yet to make a decision though, will be attending Dudawhite's webinar to more insight.

Again, will appreciate any thoughts by anyone in regards to Duda vs Mobelio whitelabel, Jamie and David are free to weight in as well, bias or not, would love to hear why I should choose Mobelio over Duda. TIA!
Hey,

it seems my original post was removed or has disappeared so thought I would chime in again, just in case it was a glitch.

After reading Rons post above, I have to agree with him on that there are so many different ways of doing this, that there is no right or wrong way, it all depends on the business model you want to follow.

If you want to offer clients access so they can either build their own sites, or alternatively manage their own sites, a solution like ours at Mobelio is perfect.

It is also a great solution for those that manually build and manage client sites too, as it is easy to use and has all the features you need to build a site. But, there are also many other things you could use to do this also. I suppose this depends on how easy to want it to be.

We have been users of other builders and solutions, and one of the main reasons we first created Mobelio was so our own clients could be given access and actually be able to manage their own sites without issue. We can scale now extremely quickly because of this.

Cost wise, as Ron said, check on Dudas full pricing as $399 is just for the white label builder and does not include sites.

Hope that helps,

Hello,

Does your packages includes mobile sites as well? is it self hosted? please provide some more details. I might go for white label app builder.
