Observations in mobile marketing biz
Share on:

Hosting companies, local directories, large website companies, all have been and will be adding mobile websites to their portfolio of services and will certainly penetrate the small business market with ease.

Two ways to look at this, it depends on your personality type.

Oh no! I will never get many sales now. They can just go with yp.com or godaddy and get the same thing!

Or

Finally!!! Now the whole business world will know what a mobile website is. Now when we call them up to explain it, the conversion rate will be higher as they understand what we are selling. Our personalized service and rates blow away what the major companies offer on a cookie cutter basis.

So which do you agree with?

It's not up to you. Or me.

Don't try to change people. Sort.

Sort before you sell.

Qualify first, sell later.

Don't know how many other ways I can say it.

There will always be two kinds of prospects.

Those who value what you do and see the difference between yp and your work, and those who don't.

Get rid of the latter as fast as you can and spend your energy on the former.

I agree with Jason, if you prove your quality, hard work and establish a proper working relationship then you don't need to worry about the competition!

Agree with Nathan & Jason... things are going to keep getting more and more mobile friendly.. Just like everything will always be changing with technology, just focus on your own value and creativity and always will be good!

I'd go for the second. The first one didn't really realized the value of mobile marketing!

Friendly advice, useful tips...
