Where are you getting clients?
Share on:

Hello everyone, I'd just like to see where everyone is getting their clients from. I feel certain areas have their ups and downs. If you're willing to share then please do!

-Craigslist
-Cold calls
-Referrals from existing clients

Check out Linkedin, I have been having a good time over there and there something like 200 million users so its a pretty big pool of potential clients

Well, one good way to find clients is to look for local shops in your city, understand their needs and fit your product/service to their needs. You can use Google Maps to search for local restaurants, barbershops, law firms, doctors, and so on...

Friendly advice, useful tips...

To truly get to the next level you either need to spend a fortune on advertising or create some type of revenue sharing so other people can send you work.

I created a complete affiliate program at bumblebeesales, created training videos, online tools, banners and I pay 60% commissions.

And still, it is a struggle. Even with thousands of people signing up to make money, none of them really do, because they never do anything more than signing up.

But having the program in place gives my customers the ability or I should say incentive to send us customers. With a good payout back to them, they don't hesitate to send friends, clients or just people they meet.

I am not saying everyone can share that chunk of cash, but affiliate programs are used by walmart, ebay, amazon and just about every major company out there. Even google got in the market with their affiliate program but like most google run businesses it failed.

So unless you plan on trolling craigslist everyday looking for work, start getting other people to do that for you.

It is really the only way you can keep an open stream of cash coming in.

Of course once you find regular customers you wont have to worry about that. But that is really the biggest challange on the intenet today.

I have uploaded few free apps on google apps store and various forums. I have posted on fiverr and craiglist about my ads too. I am getting few clients from there. Most of the clients i am getting is from craiglist and from the local market.

Success will follow.

Online forums are one of the best places to find prospects. Like-minded people engage and participate in forums and it's a good place to find what people that will be interested in what you have to offer. From these forums, you can get to know them and communicate with them. You can start adding them in their social media accounts like Google+, Facebook, LinkedIn, and etc.

I did a network meeting and did a Q&A on mobile apps and websites, then spoke to people, gave my cards out and the phone hasn't stopped ringing. I have had 2 full weeks of meetings and everyone I sell I get them to give me referrals, this is where I make the money....

Nice job. Your network, how did you get this together and manage to get a meeting together?

PublicImage, if your question is for me, I handed my cards out after I did the talk on the benefits of mobile websites.

I then offered some people incentive priced sites, only to get them to say they were more than happy and recommend me to their business colleagues!

I have now taken on 2 new salesmen, who are 'account managers' and they now follow these leads up. In one week I got over 45 hot leads who wanted a mobile website, 2 wanted mobile apps, so I got all the details and created the mobile apps/websites then went back to them the following week, went through the website with them and then got paid.

When they pay, we then ask for 3 referrals, this is why I needed to hire 2 new salesmen. 3rd week in these guys are cutting their teeth on 60 appointments each. No hard sell, no cold calling - just people who REALIZE the benefit of mobile websites - what an easy sell.
