Chad's plugin is great, I'm not so familiar with wrecking ball sms. I love Chad's products but to be honest the support is suspect at times. You can do most anything you want with SMS using OpenVBX though, and its free. What exactly are you trying to accomplish?

Just started using WreckingBall myself and still learning my way around. I'm not too familiar with chads product, but just from following a number of threads regarding his products I have concerns about support. From what I've seen with WBSMS, they seem to be on top of things when it comes to updates and adding features and if there's something not in it now that would be a good addition to the program, I can see them easily adding that if enough interest is there. |

Push Messaging was previously only availble through mobile apps. Not any more. You can now send push messages using mobile websites. Checkout this great WSO (I'm not affilliate): http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...-frontier.html |

I use Avid Mobile, personally and I'm pretty happy with their service. With that said I was on a webinar recently with Dave Iago. He gave away a TON of great content and also spoke about WBSMS and some of the features it offers. If I decide to leave Avid, I'd most likely go with WB. One of the coolest things their system features is a viral text platform. Customers can send messages to their friends and the original sender gets points (or whatever, according to the campaign) as people redeem the coupons. Once again, even though I'm content with my SMS provider, you should certainly give WB a whirl. |

Seems like it would be pretty simple to implement. Saying that push messaging is the "new way to go" is like saying that rather than build an email list of interested subscribers from website visitors, just show them popup messages instead. I would personally rather have SMS optins than push messages, but maybe I'm missing something. | |

I have used some of David Iagos SMS products and they are great! But I have found Chad's Wordpress SMS to be so useful and there is no monthly fee. Yes support is slow, but he does update the plugin when needed and it works well. If you need support I would just look for help around here. I have solved a few issues myself so I could even answer some questions about Wordpress SMS. I know others here on WF have helped me a lot. Dylan |
