Re: Mobile Marketing is HUGE! You can find pretty much all the information you need regarding mobile marketing here on the warrior forum. After reading your PDF, your SMS prices seem a bit high for an average pizza place (or restaurant in general). Great if you can get it, but from my experience it seems a bit high because it will take time to get lots of subscribers to justify that expense. I have always used an escalating price structure based on the number of subscribers and it works well. Don't expect to charge a client $199/month at the outset when they have very few subscribers to send to initially. It takes time for a small business to get many hundreds of subscribers. Flyers and table top stuff is great, but you should always incorporate a webform on the client's website so that people can subscribe to the SMS list when they visit the site. A popup or sidebar form works great at getting subscribers. Offer something of value and you will always get subscribers. Drawings (weekly or monthly) have worked well for my clients. You also failed to mention that SMS subscribers now have to be "double opt-in". After they send a keyword, scan a QR code, or enter their phone number, you must send a text back that asks them to confirm that they truly want to be on the list. Once they confirm they can then be added to the SMS list and marketed to with future SMS messages. If you fail to do this, you could be opening yourself (i.e. your client) up to some serious fines. And always include "reply STOP to cancel" in your outgoing marketing messages. |
