I always choose the low payout offers which gives me nice converation rates. The sms offers always winks me with the 10$-25$ payouts which is HUGE! I mean for a 20$ payout I have to get 1 converation every 2k clicks to not lose money (if cpc is 0.01). So the offers is nice but does it really sell? users really put their phone? I assume that if they read the small lines that expands the offer details they wont. And what kind of ad would you choose? banner?push?app-wall? I would like to hear everything you know about it. Thanks. |

Personally I think offers like these are dead. Way back when before everyone had smartphones, entering your cell phone number in exchange for ringtones, wallpaper, etc was a bit more commonplace. Now, smartphone users (which are arguably who see most of the mobile ads we run) are no more than a few clicks away from getting their own ringtones, etc for free. For the life of me I just cannot comprehend anyone, modern day, entering their phone number, paying a monthly fee in exchange for mobile multimedia that is readily available anywhere on the internet. Having said all of that, maybe the goal with a campaign using those types of offers is to target regions where perhaps smart phone use isn't as prevelent, or just specifically targeting normal handsets. It is my belief that you'd garner a better rate of success. As a final point, I know the logic that "you only have to convert 1 out of every 2000 people" is alluring, but speaking from experience, I can tell you it isn't nearly that simple. The first time I got into CPA (mobile CPA specifically), I thought I was so cool getting penny clicks directing me to offers that paid out just $2 or $3. I only needed a .33% conversion rate to break even... and the average on the offers I was running was near 3%, and that was average. Suffice to say, I lost money on that campaign. Hope this helps. |

Time sensitive offers work well with mobile like payday loans "Need CASH by 5pm" etc...
