A flash banner? Do you mean a .GIF? Banners at their most basic form are just images... The only type of image that is animated (which may have lead you to believe it was flash), is a .GIF.

If I'm correct, you should just be able to opposite click on it and (at least in Chrome), look for the option that says "Save Image As...".

Let me know if this works. If not, I'd be happy to help you further

didn't work, I'm with a network that has many different banners up, I'm trying to use it for media buys. Im not having problems with the jpeg, gif where I can just right click then save as to where my laptop. But I'm not able to do that with the flash banners.

LOL hopefully you can understand a newbie.

Alright, I'll give this one more shot. Let me know if this works:
  1. Get to the "source" of the website you're on. In Chrome, go to "View" -> "Developer" -> "View Source" ... other browsers should have a similar process.
  2. Scroll down in the source code until you find the <embed> tag for the flash you want to download.
  3. Copy the URL contents of the src="http://example.com" attribute.
  4. If it is an absolute URL, starting with "http://" then open a new browser window, paste the URL into the location bar, and let the flash load.
  5. If it is a relative URL or filename, highlight the last item in the location bar and paste the URL or filename over it; if the location bar ends in a /, just paste after it, and let the flash load.
  6. Once the flash has loaded, go to File > Save Page As, and save the .swf to your hard drive. You may have to change the extension from HTML to .swf.

Hopefully this works

Hey man,

Since you're posting here on the "Mobile" section, I guess you wanna target mobile devices...
keep in mind that most of the devices aren't able to run flash animations, and therefor almost all ad networks won't allow you running flash animation (unless you're using another traffic source).
Mobile advertising is mostly done with static banners (.png .jpg , etc....), dynamic banners ( .gif ), Rich Media ads ( more advanced... ) or Text ads.

Good luck though
