Which is a more effective or better mobile squeeze page for local businesses?

I've seen a WSO that sells templates of mobile squeeze pages that ask customers to opt-in with their email addresses and I was thinking of buying it.

On the other hand, I've also been checking out companies like Limecellular & Avidmobile that sell whitelabel sms or text message advertising.

Is it more effective or better for local businesses to have a mobile squeeze page that ask for customers to opt-in with their email address or is it better to have the mobile squeeze page ask for customers to opt-in to sms or text message advertising?

In your opinion or from your own experience with local business owner clients, which one will generate more business for the local business owner clients?

Or should I just create both types of mobile squeeze pages for the local business owners and do a split test as to which type of mobile squeeze page generate the most leads?

I use both and in my split tests when I only ask for a number or email without a name I get more email opt ins.

My testing on the subject between e-mail or SMS for 'LOCAL' business hands down shows SMS is far more converted. e-mail was getting 5-10% conversion which is really nice. However, when we introduce SMS to some of our clients, we were seeing 20 and 30%.
