Re: Mobile text marketing?

Yes it works, not its not hard to set up, and you collect phone numbers by giving away something or making an offer they can't refuse, same way you collect opt in emails.

Texting is Popular. According to recent surveys, 2/3 of the world uses text message servicing. This equals approximately 1.8 million people. With so many people with cell phone in hand, and actively using SMS messaging, you can be certain that your marketing efforts will pay off.

For the numbers, make sure that you're only contacting numbers that have 100% opted in, you do not want to be in the business of contacting people who have not opted in as this will result in some very hefty fines.

Its not enough for just opt-ins anymore. SMS subscribers need to be double opt-in now, and full disclosure about they are signing up for.

There are 2 really good reseller platforms here in the forum

Mobile Loyalty App Reseller platform

SMS Marketing Reseller Platform

Both these platforms offer sms marketing. The second one the SMS Reseller allows you to sell phone numbers and SMS Text message credits to be used to send text messages!

Why do you always ask people to PM you for a solution? Do you just try to sell them on a product you own or an affiliate product? :D

Hi, I have been looking at doing text sms marketing for sometime now,I am in the U.K
And I can't find any company that offers like a list of phone numbers that have signed up to receive text messaging.my business is Horse racing tips.I am looking at offering free Tips information.anyone know of a company that rents lists out ? email marketing seems like hard work with poor results "old Hat" sort of thing. It would need to be a list for people interested in Horse Racing/sports betting.

Make sure to familiarize yourself with the opt-in/opt-out laws. It will save you tons of headaches in the future!

You can try and figure all these details out or you can use a company that has done the leg work for you and developed a system that will set you in the right direction. Either can take you on the right path.

Cheaper than traditional means for both the consumer and the marketer - and easy enough for almost any age group to understand and engage with - Mobile Marketing really is a streamlined version of traditional eMarketing.

Do the same as you would do with email marketing, offer free information to collect phone numbers instead or emails or both, using a sms platform to build your list.
The one I use support both sms and emails. I just log in and manage my autoresponder or broadcast messages same as I do emails with Aweber.

SMS marketing is one of the best forms of marketing in terms of ROI. 95% of the text messages are opened and seen by clients versus about a 20% open rate with email marketing. A text message is also more personal than an email and is viewed almost immediately after it gets sent out.

Contacts can be attained in a number of different ways. You can advertise your opt-in number offline through flyers and signage or online through opt-in widgets that can be placed on other websites. There are a myriad of ways to get people to sign-up to your offers. These people would already be interested in what you have to offer as well since they are texting in a keyword to a number to be put on a list, so they are already pre-sold.

Do your homework. Learn all you can. Then sign up with a proven platform. In my opinion that's Lime and wrecking ball, hands down

Re: Mobile text marketing?

SMS texting is very responsive. Over 90% of people will open every text message versus getting 10% open rates on e-mails. There are many methods to collect numbers, but as mentioned above - do NOT include anyone on a text list esp with auto-texters without permission.

Sometimes, you just have to get creative with the positioning and offers to get new subscribers (and in very rare creative cases, use a "one-time" text response from a personal phone [not autotexter] to people who are already expecting to receive information from you to generate them as a mobile or e-mail subscriber.)

Using QR code is the best way to bring people from offline to online in to your list. Very effective.

It is easy. 2 step:
1) collect phone numbers (or buy them from some websites)
2) send a cool text and see the results

I would suggest you to market using application like whatsapp and hike than the marketing using SMS text because people are more using whatsapp than the text messages

with good professional sms marketing tool you can do more than what whatsup offers. Running sweepstakes, voting, embed tweeter and social, all of these cool features are definitely available thru professional sms services. there are some out there that can do that. My personal opinion is that sms marketing is the hot trend now. (that's why FB paid 15b for whatsup :))

Yes, mobile text marketing is working well. That not only shows the opportunity behind texting as a communications medium, but also how crucial it is to get it right -- because you're talking with people in a medium they clearly find extremely important.

You can really crush it with sms text message marketing. We are currently doing well in the local space as well as the affiliate space with text to contests for amazon gift card give-a-ways, as well as mobile cpa offers such as coupons etc.

We have found the best promotion so far via running FB campaigns. We are now running traffic via other mobile networks...

I hope this helps.

I am not an affiliate. Just passing on info. Try text2vip.com They have a "viral" texting program unlike most others. This program rewards people for sending texts.

Re: Mobile text marketing?

The right text message marketing service can help you connect with your clients and create two-way communication by allowing you to alert them about daily deals and specials. since consumers must provide you with contact information and consent to receiving messages, chances are that they will be much more likely to respond positively to messages they receive.

TrumpiaTim 16th March 2015 11:23 PM

Re: Mobile text marketing?

The SMS space is growing considerably, it was once just for marketers but you now found a lot of larger organizations adopting SMS text messaging as a business grade tool for internal communication such as HR updates.
