I work for a pizza restaurant in NW Indiana and the owner is looking for information in regards to setting up a SMS account with Twilio and using a platform to set up everything to send out text to generate an increase in business. We both have no idea on how to do this But do understand the concept of how mobile marketing works. But the owner is looking for price information to see if this is something that at be more valuable to use than traditional marketing. If this is something anyone in this forum can do I would love to talk more about it. The owner was also looking to see if there was anyone locally in his area that he would be able to meet with face to face in NW Indiana. Thanks, Prentice |

I'm not familiar with Twilio, but if the restaurant wants it's own mobile application, they could send out push notifications to their customers. Let me know if I could help with that. -Todd |

Hi Prentice, note that Twilio is great for API but if you're looking for an out of the box solution to immediately use with out development, they might not be the ideal vendor.

Something I've done with Pizzerias is to; 1) Rent a "New Resident" list 2) Mail a Big PostCard (with a QR Code) offering a "Free Small Pizza" with purchase of a Large. 3) Collect the names and either use a Email or SMS program to send Special Deals to "Bring-Em-Back". Don Alm |

I agree with TrumpiaTim that Twilio may involve more work on your end than what you seem to be looking for. By the sound of his name, my guess is that he is either working for or an affiliate of Trumpia. From research I've previously done on SMS platforms, I'd say they seem to have a pretty good solution. My preferred suggestion, however, is TXTWire. Why? Because of the robustness of their platform, but even more importantly the speed and professional manner with which they replied to my questions was many times better than my experience with Trumpia, and at least to me that's a pretty important factor. Just my two cents. Question: Are you and/or your owner familiar with Apple's Passbook? And if so, have you considered using it as a tool in your mobile marketing? If you are interested in learning more, PM me and I will provide you with a FAQ document outlining what it is, what ways you can use it, and other common questions. |
