SO I want to make my site easily visible or easily operate on mobile device. So what will be the best way to make it easy? I have chosen two way. One is mobile based apps and another is convert my site to a mobile site. Please help me giving a suggestion on this point. I want to start it soon.

The question you have is very common, and my answer is usually 'it depends on what you want to achieve'. It also depends on your audience. Is what you are offering something that people typically look for while they are on the go, even if it's just for product comparisons?

The other question relates to your budget and/or skills. Quality mobile apps generally have to be custom created for all platforms (iPhone, iPad, Android, etc.) while a mobile site is spread more easily to all types of devices.

A couple of things to think about:
- A mobile site is easier to market with SEO
- Apps can be marketed through app stores

In other words, find out where people are more likely to search for your product/service.

If you have yet to create your website, consider a responsive design. Although you would have to do some testing to make sure it looks good in all browsers and on various screen sizes, a responsive design lets you have one site accommodate all types of devices. There are several threads in this forum that talk about both apps vs. mobile sites, and dedicated mobile sites vs. responsive design. I'd encourage you to do some research on this before you make your final decision.

Let me know if you have any other questions, and I'll do my best to help you out.

Hi,

I'd say App is the best option to turn user engage. Since you're going to launch a new business, I'd suggest you to try both. First you need to create a mobile optimized site, after that you can go for an app.

If you're launching a new site it's best to design it Responsive from the ground up, also makes it future proof. Meaning it will work and rearrange the elements on any device, and look great on any screen/resolution.

So if it's a desktop, laptop, tablet, or a mobile device, the site will look great on all of them and make the contents easy to read and navigate.

Many wordpress themes these days accomplish this.

I think you should make a responsive website. So no matter which device is loading ur website, it will load properly.

Do an separate mobile website. Do you want readers or clients?
Don't use responsive mobile sites as 99+% of the responsive themes will not give you an User Friendly mobile website, it will only just adjust the content you got on your main website to the mobile website, and customize the layout for mobile it's pain in the a** ... believe me, people come to me everyday to customize their mobile responsive site and sometimes I simply refuse to do it as it would take me a lot more time to customize it than do an mobile website from scratch.

Think thumb friendly, think fast loading mobile website. Make it easy for the user to browse through it, to find your contact details and reach your business and your work will be rewarded

Responsive design is your best bet. Alternatively, if you have the skills or money to hire the skills, I'd develop a native mobile app also.

What Adrian John is saying here is very true, hence my comment about considering a responsive design, doing your research before making a decision, and that if you choose to go that route, do a lot of testing to make sure it is loading fast and is completely user friendly for a mobile user.

Responsive Webdesign is the best way if you start a project from scratch.
If you must convert a current website, go to separate mobile version.

Native mobile apps must not be the website.
Native mobile apps must provide a real need or specific service.

Eventually, you want to do both.

A mobile app is a great way to increase brand awareness and loyalty. While monetization methods such as the freemium model and pay-gate model can annoy users, they can also be very lucrative.

More and more traffic is going through mobile devices, so you pretty much have to have a mobile version of your site.

If you go mobile app, you can have only few pages of your site, going for mobile version will be cost effective and and all the features of your site will be retain.
