Facebook anti-mobile?
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

Why is it that mobile users cannot view or even access Facebook Page tabs? Is Facebook anti-mobile or is there something technical that even Facebook can't seem to fix? Especially when more and more of us are accessing Facebook - and all of the internet - from our mobile devices more than our desktop/laptop computers? To block mobile users from tabs - which is where most of the good content of a page can be found, like discount coupons and promos and contests, etc. - just seems ludicrous.

Have any of you mobile marketers come up against a customer objection like that?

Slow going on one of my Facebook pages with only 20 on chat. 16 of them on mobile.

Yup. Whenever I check, there are more of my friends on mobile than not. It's so frustrating that none of those mobile users can view my page tabs - which are the most important part of a page - without me having to create a workaround. Just wondering when (or if) Facebook will fix that...

Facebook is still evolving and as the months go by... they're getting better and better at making it an awesome ad platform.

It seems like they're rolling out changes every 3 to 6 months or so, and each and every time, our profits increase because of better targeting and optimization.

So what you can do is contact facebook about this specifically... and really, give it time, I'm sure they'll make the appropriate changes soon.

Thanks, Jeff! You're right that Facebook continues to evolve - and rapidly! I'm sure you're right that they'll get the mobile piece right at some point - hopefully soon! Thanks again.
