Go our site responsive, should I make also an app?

the question is for affiliates, do you think it's a must to have an app to promote or it's also ok to promote via a responsive site.

best,
Derrick

An app will defiantly function better but I guess the question is what are you promoting that you think need an app for?

For instance... If you own a carpet biz, IMO you don't need an app. A good mobi site or responsive site would work great.

Apps are not for every business and not every business needs one.

Apps and mobile-friendly/responsive websites serve different purposes. It depends on your goals:

An adaptive website designed correctly can affirm your viewers to take specific actions and also increases conversion rates for those who use their phones/tablets to browse your site. This is particularly important if you are selling a product/service directly off your website or are trying to build a list.

Apps are great too, but the whole point of an app is to facilitate some sort of special functionality that you couldn't get on a website. It's like the difference between why you want a website and why you want a software product.

I don't know which option between the two would suit your needs best since you didn't go into detail about your affiliate aims, but since my company specializes in mobile-flexible website design and implementation, feel free to PM if you have any additional questions in regards to that.

I agree with biznearme

I am more biased to apps, but I think its justified. With a app its there on the users phone infront of them. Not many people know about bookmarking a site to their phones UI.

Also with apps you can use more features, but again it does depend on what your marketing.

Apps (for business) in general are good when you are targeting a couple things.

1) Repeat customers on a short time frame (i.e bars, restaurants, shops, etc.) Anything business that a customer frequents regularly.

2) Information ( i.e Magazines, newsletters, subscriptions, etc) Anything that has content updates or can be used as a guide.

The general rule of thumb for apps is anything that can/will be used on a regular bases.

These are great for affiliates because your downloaders are always using the app.

I'm sure there are more, but just a couple ideas for you.
