ASO is basically, the process of optimizing mobile apps to rank higher in an app store’s search results. Main factors to be considered are title and keyword.

The goal of App Store Optimization is to drive more traffic to your app’s page in the app store. As toddchaney said, the main factors of ASO is title and keyword. But, ASO also includes the total number of downloads and ratings and reviews as its secondary factors. App store optimization is closely related to search engine optimization.

really? i think this is still mistery. why? because i have app with kw on title but my app not apear on first page playstore search result. i see on other page not apear too. but another app without kw on title and not related with kw. his appear on first page playstore search results. wkwkwk :lol: this is funny for me :D

Though when you're launching an app - you can focus on these 5 components of ASO:

1- Icon
2- Keywords
3- Title
4- Screenshots
5- Description

I'll brief them one by one..

1- Icon

Your goal is to catch their attention.

So make an icon that grabs their eyeballs and piques their interest.

Use contrasting colors and a face thats looking directly at the user.

2- Keywords

Choose keywords that are already searched for.

Find ones that have a good balance of high searches but low competition.

Use Sensortower.com for more keyword ideas.

3- Title

Use the best keywords in the title.

check your competitor's titles. Copy some of those keywords.

Use a longer sub-title to include more keywords.

4- Screenshots

Most users will only see your icon and screenshots.

List the 5 best features/benefits of your apps.

Take a screenshot of each feature and caption it with enticing words.

5- Description

Write a mini sales pitch for the first 3 lines.

Include reviews, feature list, etc below.

Pepper it with the right keywords (SEO) to rank high in Google.

Search results have also a lot to do with the number of downloads & user reviews. The better they are, more are the chances of your app being ranked higher. Keywords, app description etc. are all the basic parameters that you need to take care of. But virility is another factor that is not there in any rulebook but works wonders.

In very simple terms, App store optimization (ASO) is improving the chances of your app appearing in search results in an app store. You have to use good tiles and create a keyword reach description. Keywords users who would use your app would use in searching.

Ask yourself " if I am searching for an app like this as a normal user, how would I search for it?"

ASO stands for Apps Store Optimization, as many warriors stated, and is a process of improving visibility of your mobile app different apps store. Now, since 60% apps are acquired by searching (Forester Research), organic downloads can be truly affected by ASO alone.

What to do?

-Keyword research
-Have a good icon for your app
-give the best description for your app; don't go around the bush, say whats inside, what to expect, what to do, what not.
-Make a real deal app at the first place.

App Store Optimization...tricky subject that a lot of app "gooroos" say to have figured out but are nothing but idiots trying to make extra cash selling info product to you guys.

ASO for iOS and ASO of Play Store is completely different.

Play Store algorithm looks at your downloads, your app engagement, positive and negative review (5 stars n 1 star) and over all updates and activeness of the developer for proper ranking. Keyword in the title and description/summary helps but that's NOT the only factor if you're in a competitive niche.

They follow a similar bump rule like YouTube. They'll bump a new apps to a set of users and see how it performs, if it does well, the ranking improves, if not, it goes back to the standard algorithm processing. They give you a kickstart, if you do well, you'll do good for a longer run.
