Is Mobile Marketing Important to Offline Businesses?

I was talking with a friend yesterday who didn't see a need for mobile marketing. I had no good response since he seemed to have "enough" business.

Is there a good response when marketing to such people who don't see the importance of mobile marketing?

Since your friend seemed to have "enough" business, he may not have the flexibility to listen (I know, it happens, when I met clients who do not 'feel' the need of having a business website) what makes mobile marketing so important. But if you have some time with your friend when he wants to hear you, you can refer these pieces

Just put it like this, ask your friends for example in an existing restaurant, If they got some promotions, how will they tell their new and existing customers?

If they have an App, then it's easy to send a Push Notifications about it. Of course, to get their existing customers download their app, they will be belong to a vip customers where they get some discounts.

Their App would at least include their menu or food gallery, about their business/services and contact information, with tap to call and tap to send sms.

      Regards,
      Joel

It's kind of self-perpetuating in that most folks will access the net using mobile devices; this is undisputable. I think like Adwords and other online advertising products, you need to know what you're doing to get an ROI. You either learn or pay for this.

I think one basic mobile marketing technique every business with a physical location that customers or clients visit should have, is a listing with Google Local or Google Business. This allows customers to quickly map the business’s location while on the move.

App based-With the increasingly widespread use of smartphones, app usage has also greatly increased. Therefore, mobile marketers have increasingly taken advantage of smartphone apps as a marketing resource. This allows for direct engagement, payment, and targeted advertising

I would stay away from thos "prospects". I recommend spending your time wisely finding prospecta that already know they need mobile website. Then convertthem into leads, present to them and close the sale. Do not waste time trying to convert people.
