Hi guys, I'm looking to venture into mobile marketing but I am completely clueless about it. How do you even start? I've been doing regular affiliate marketing through Social PPC but would it be the same process? Does anyone have a step-by-step guide/tutorial that shows what I would need to do? |

Best advice is to just choose ONE aspect of mobile marketing to promote and learn it well. For example... Show businesses that don't have a mobile website how they are losing out on traffic from mobile phones - and how you can help by creating one for them. Show a business how SMS list building can turn slow days into busy ones. Demo your system to biz owners by having them "subscribe" to their list to get a valuable SMS coupon sent back to them. Generate phone calls (i.e. leads) to local businesses by running mobile adwords ads. Give them a free QR code that directs to a mobile "digital coupon" they are already running in a print ad. Think in terms of how you can increase business by incorporating mobile marketing strategies and techniques and you'll have success. |

I think the best way for someone starting out with mobile marketing is to learn everything you can about how it is used. This puts you in the shoes of your clients. You need to learn if it can be of value to those who you are marketing to. If you are unable to see the value for yourself there is no way you will be able to convey that value to your clients. The biggest piece of advice I can give is be patient. If you don't currently have a list of clients it can be a challenge to start getting sales. The best way I have found to get new clients is by choosing those who are already spending money on advertising. Call up your local radio station and see if you can partner with them selling your services. Whatever you decide to do, Good Luck! |

The best training available today from what I have seen is AvidMobile's Mobile Marketing Certification program. They have a video series created from real world experience selling SMS, mobile coupons, and mobile sites/apps. The video series has worksheets that accompany it, love presentations, and more. I completed mine. I am certified and am closing deals. Great stuff. just my 2 cents. |

I would start by picking one area of mobile marketing and concentrate on learning all you can about it. In my (biased) opinion, mobile apps and websites for businesses is the easiest place to start. The reason for this is many times you can use the clients existing website for design ideas. Also, the regulations concerning push-notification compared to SMS are nonexistent. Less chance of getting yourself into a legal bind. |

You might want to try starting out as a middleman for one type of service. Some might call you a commissioned salesperson. But it's a great way to learn. For example, providing mobile websites to local businesses could be the service. Contact a provider of mobile websites. Offer to help sell his service and make a $ deal. He gets a lead, you get paid. Or he makes a sale, you get paid. Up to you and the provider. Bookmark some excellent mobile sites on your phone that you can show. (or templates) Familiarize yourself with a few benefits of mobile sites. Test the waters with only those businesses that you patronize, such as restaurants that you frequent or services (such as plumbers or carpet cleaners) that you have used or businesspeople in your networking group. It's easy enough to tell if one those businesses does not have a mobile-friendly website - just pull up their site on your phone! (There's also software that will do that for you and return a list of such sites, filtering by zip code.) Show the business owner a sample of a mobile-friendly site. If he's open to the idea, that's a lead for your partner and a commission for you if a sale is made. You'll learn a lot, and maybe make some money. |

Please. Please. Please. Listen to my advise... Instead of starting your new Mobile Marketing company, Go work for one. Learn the basics. Realize what it takes to sell and be effective. Anyone can start a biz. It's simple... Grab a few White Label platforms and sell the services. You are in biz. lol The problem is that things do not work that way. SAVE your MONEY. Learn about the industry before you invest in a market you feel is "target rich". The best advise I can give you is this... Contact a Mobile Marketing company in your area. Make COLD CALLS for them. Sell their services. After about 6 months you will be in a much, much better place and you WILL be successful. I promise you that! I wish you a TON of success! Just please... Don't chase success. Create it! |

There’s a lot of mobile marketing types, the most common types are: Mobile website, SMS, Apps, QR codes… probably start with one type, then move to the others, “mobile website” is a good start!

Hi, There are many marketing strategies but mouth to mouth is the best marketing way. Yes, first market your apps in your friend's circle or relatives(They will obvious install it) then tell them to spread the word. Once 40 or 50 people install your app tell them to write the review and share them on social media. So that more people can engage with your mobile app. There are plenty of app listing websites available in the market so just list your app in those website. The main thing is to create social media accounts and website because the most of the traffic generated by the social media channels. Thank you ! |

xlfutur1 has the right idea. You shouldn't try to take on and offer a bit of each service/aspect of mobile marketing, choose one and run with it. SMS marketing, for example, which is an incredibly powerful way of building, keeping, and cultivating a solid customer base. But there are loads of other avenues to explore as well. Good luck! |

If you don't know about the marketing technique which is you are going to use means, it is better to hire some professional people to use that particular marketing technique. Because, professional and experienced people can do better than others.

Before you wholeheartedly embrace mobile, it's a good idea to see how your website fares when viewed on different mobile devices. Run your website through a few of the mobile compatibility testing tools on this list for a good gauge.
