Can you really earn with AdMob
 

I am very interested in developing an Android app but I am very sceptic about AdMob.

I rarely click on AdSense, but on AdMob NEVER, because it is even greater bother when I am in the middle of a game to click on commercials. And some people claim to earn 1,000's $$$ daily monetizing their apps.

Is this "harder" than AdSense? Can you incourage me a little to get into this venture and give me some opinions :-) ?

I have been very happy with my AdMob results. I have tried at least 10 other advertising networks and AdMob has always given the best return. Other networks might do better in small slices in time, but after weeks of testing, AdMob came out ahead for me.

It is all about large numbers. I consistently earn about $1.20 per 1000 impressions. So the more impressions, the more, income.

Really a different model than AdSense. Where adsense can pay SEVERAL dollars per click, not so with mobile. So you have to make up for it in quantity of impressions.

I have had 4 figure months with AdMob alone.

i started publishing apps for android a year ago.

admob is the biggest player in android advertising .you can expect 2-4$ ecpm for full page intersitial ads.so to earn 1k daily you need 500k impressions a day.

and yes for the US traffic the ecpm is sometimes more than 5.

I see reduced eCPMs from August for all countries. Anybody feel the same?

Make a living just with admob.. yes you can :)

I think google is underated, i love google ads.. so targeted

I think that people can make a decent living with Admob, is it going to be enough to support yourself, that really depends. I have seen some really good ideas just fail because someone else copied and commercialized it better. If you have the traffic Admob certainly has the funds for you…

i also used many different networks, admob is the most profitable. If you use it avoid at all costs the click fraud with your smartphone.They will terminate your account.

What webstarcom said warrants repeating again. Some people think that a shortcut is going to get them a lot of money. No, the only thing it is going to get you is a lost opportunity to see your business become profitable. That would be a darn shame if you actually have a great model. Sometimes people get greedy and they end up losing.

Regarding the fortune cookie market, you can differentiate yourself and get traction if the twist is so simple that you can explain in 3 words and people are likely to search for that twist. Otherwise, it seems like a crowded market to me where CPC is likely to be high.

Yeah, I agree, admob is really great network. Very profitable. For me admob and Clickky, probably, most favourite networks. Good income from it.

Admob is fine but I would certainly try my own type of ads first.. this in order to build a large base of prospects to whom I can keep selling thereafter. - I mean, ads are paid by successful advertisers using Admob and Your apps to accomplish that, if that were not a good business then Admob would not be possible right? :)

Now since you already have the Apps why not try and take your business one step further..?

Install SDK
Choose your ads
Your ads will display and users will click on your ads.
You will get paid every time users click on ads
Keep track of earning with Admob report.

i can tell you admob is great in earnings. it can give you up to $7 per 1000 impression. it has to do with the your application users geo location and the type of application.
