Yes, I love these free photo sites. Two great ones here are Pixabay and Death to the Stock Photo.

I just don't get this. We have digital cameras now. Pretty good ones, and most people have one. Why aren't more marketers taking their own pics?

  Sure more marketers could but it's not always easy to take great pics, and it's not always easy or convenient to capture the perfect subject that you need for your project. Contrary to popular belief, a decent small sensor camera does not always mean you automatically take great pics.
  
  Composition, lighting, color balance, bokeh, aperture setting, shutter speed, the lens etc. etc. etc. and even photoshop skills all play a part in making photos great. Sure tons of people have a digital camera, but the majority of those people are still making mostly snapshots.
  
  Just because I own a hammer and a saw and some other tools does not make me a master carpenter.

  Okay guys. Don already gave me a lecture over this one. LOL. I guess I can see the point. I've got some very professional level photographers in my family so if I can't get a shot I want, I always just get on the phone and ask for it. I know the symbolism nuances needed so can plan out what I need - it was part of my cognitive sci ed. I guess I'm just spoiled and didn't realize it.

Thanks. I didn't know there were that many. The free image site I normally use is FreeImages.com.
