Yep, grab your buckets, or sick bags, and strap yourself into the chair, the wealthy brat has turned his rise to wealth and nausea, into a motion picture.

I watched a third of this, before the bucket seemed like a good option then stopped!

Probably directed by his pet monkey?

I will give this 5 days in the cinemas, (7 if it is the school holidays)?

I have no interest in watching the movie and I'm not impressed with things he done recently.

I do give this dude credit for getting as far as he has. He's not overly talented, he's not a big, gorgeous hunk, he didn't have family connections, he was supposedly "discovered" by accident but there's more to it.

As a kid he learned to play several instruments and he focused on entertaining anywhere he could. He was the right face at the right time and it worked. The transition from kid to adult is clearly a rough one for him and I don't know if he'll get there.

I don't like his music or him particularly - but I give him credit for working hard to be ready IF he got a chance.

So do many other people. They don't make dicks of themselves when they get there though.

EDIT UPDATE: Actually a lot of those who become stars in the music industry at a young age do "dickish" things. Always have done, always will. (Hat tp to Kay below.)

To be fair to him - he got a lot of attention from a young age and the girls of his own age made him feel like a legend. He was bound to turn into a dickhead. My guess is that he'll straighten out as he gets a little older. By then he might figure out how to do music that will be pleasing to more than young teenage girls, too.

A lot of boys go through the same crap. They just aren't famous. They are just as immortal, though.

Actually, a lot of celebrities do just that and are old enough to know better.

He started his career at 13. I doubt any kid would be 'normal' at 20 after spending his teen years with the attention, fame and money that JB had.

I still think the smartest thing he could do is retire at 21 and go have a real life with all that money.

I agree, but I suspect he's too addicted to the limelight. While I do think he's a victim of far too much fame and fortune at a very early age, he's old enough now to know better than continuously pull the stunts that keep getting him into hot water.

If he doesn't get a grip very soon, his early retirement will be involuntary and spent behind bars. I hope for his sake he gets his act together before that happens.

He's just getting to the point where he's old enough to start normalizing. We'll just have to see if he does. I've never been a fan of his, however, when he first hit the stage as a little boy, he was cute and did have talent. As an adult, if he can figure out a more mature means of expressing his talent, he might just turn it around.

I, for one, hope that he's able to adjust to fame a little better - or finds whatever other path that really excites him. I can't find it in me to hope that his life is a disaster just because he got obnoxious as a teen. For god sakes, how many good men would have been doomed if that had been the case? Some of the best men I know were absolutely deplorable teenagers.

The major problem with capturing the teenybopper audience is they grow out of it.

As they mature, they distance themselves from the sort of music they liked as a kid, to try and prove that they're no longer kids. The teenyboppers that replace them aren't interested in yesterday's idols because they have their own set of idols to "worship".

If you aim for that kind of demographic the best you can hope for is about five years on top at best. Make all the money you can while you can, but never delude yourself that you're going to stay on top, unless you have the talent to constantly reinvent yourself.

Also, for some reason the above seems to only apply to those who capture the girl teenybopper audience. The ones that get the boy teen audience seem to have a bit more longevity.

To give you an example: When I was 15 the #1 music act for the girls was the Bay City Rollers, whereas for the boys it was Kiss. Kiss are are still going, doing pretty much what they've always done, whereas the BCRs are in the "where are they now?" category.

He will grow up to become his father, an adult with a 24/7 midlife crises, and low IQ, that also goes on a 24/7 bender.

        Great rule model!

So what you're basically saying Thom, is that on this day, you've definitely shown way too much interest in Justin Bieber?
