Classic!

Just watched this tonight, forgot how good some of these are.

Leaves the color, more modern ones in the dust!

Pity about the ending, but at least he still had the other option, (without giving away too much)!

Good to know that us Aussies can still watch them!

One of my two favorite episodes. The other one also has Burgess Meredith, when he is granted superhuman strength..and then superhuman intelligence.

I also remember an episode where he played the Devil, and operated a printing press.

    Good stuff.

What if they're not stars? What if they are holes poked in the top of a container so we can breath?

Superhuman strengh, look forward to that one, (Walking Carpet will probably plead with you for that one)?

I did see a devil one recently, where he allowed some shallow hypochondriac, immortality for his soul!

He basically tried to kill himself, and got pretty bored with it all when all his attempts failed.

I can see a lot of parallels with modern day movies through watching these. Groundhog Day being one!

Yes, this is the one that stuck in my mind 100 years ago when these were shown on the now ghostown free to air stations!

        Yeah, ALSO super intelligence!

GEE, nobody mentioned the one about obsolescence? I wish we could INSTILL that kind of knowledge into all of the "leaders" of the world! What a GREAT show!

Actually, burgess wasn't in that one. He OFTEN plays the underdog, as these three are. He gets to be super strong because he is being picked on a LOT, for example.

        I LOVED that one!

I recall an episode (I think it was TTZ) where the main character could stop time. Everything around him would freeze, but he was able to move around. I'd love to see that one again.

I can't recall if it was an episode of TTZ or Rod Serling's other show The Night Gallery.

Perhaps someone can shed some light on that for me.

Why do garden gnomes smell so bad?
So that blind people can hate them as well.

There WAS one, though burgess wasn't the actor. The protagonist gets a watch from a guy that seems a bit crazy. The watch can stop time. He starts by playing practical jokes, then he tries to bring people down, then he starts to use it just for himself. At that point something happens and I guess I gave away too much. It WAS crying out for a sequel though, just as "time at last" was.

That sounds like the one. He abuses the "magic" and it all ends up going horribly wrong for him.

Just looked it up on Wikpedia and that episode was called "A Kind Of Stopwatch"

Now, to look for it on YouTube.
