Asteroids, comets, UFO's, whatever. ALL! Dihydrogen oxide that exists on the third marble was brought to the planet from "outside" the planet.

I think this article will make us consider the real difference between an asteroid and a comet. An asteroid is rectangular and is mostly made up of bad jokes and dirty shirts.

A comet is exactly the same thing. Now you know the difference.

...I'm confused. I thought Comet was a reindeer.

A well known expert on these matters has proof (!) that all water in our solar system was formed from the tears of fluffy bunnies.

Water might not come directly from comets - but I know that comet makes cleaning so much easier sometimes.

How dare you desecrate my thread like this. Everyone knows asteroids are made from (rectangular) milk chocolate bars. The Milky Way provided the milk of course and cows provided the milk for the Milky Way. And how do cows make milk, by drinking water. And where do they get the water from, Comets of course.

So the cows reprocess the water taken from the comets, seed the Milky Way with milk that then feed it to the Coco based asteroids. When the asteroids hit the Earth the unique atmosphere mix dissolves the milk back to a more drinkable form of water. But, not all of it, the sea still has a frothy milk top on its waves.

Before the Earth cooled though it made a lot more primordial soup.

The simplest theories are the most elegant ones.

I think the fact it was seen on FB is proof enough for me.

        NO COMPLETELY WRONG!!!!

An ancient race of fluffy bunnies from outside our solar system, called the "Anchbunnys" created a stable wormhole and channeled water from an ice planet in the Hoth system, to our world.

There they created a bunny cult on Mars and chanted to their "Olilly" God!

Then power got the better of them, and they ate all the vegetation on Mars, then escaped to earth.

Thankfully humans were there at the time, and used fire to clobber the technically advanced bunny race, so they couldn't get them in a half nelson!

Disclaimer - l am talking total crap, and have obviously watched too many Sci-fi movies!

I don't think I can take data from a rover that took samples on it's side, as gospel. There were to many malfunctions on that lander. Science has been wrong many times, so I don't think you can close the door on water not coming from comets theory.

Water could have easily came from both comets and asteroids, and been diluted with asteroid water or low deuterium hydrogen comets. I find it hard to believe that when earth was being bombarded with comets and asteroids, that some of that heavy water did not stay here on earth. I don't think you can rule out comets as a source or the source for water here on earth.

I also think comets or asteroids can be the source for life here on earth. They say Africa is the cradle of civilization, so if life on earth started in Africa, it makes sense that maybe a comet or asteroid with microbial life hit there, and if that's the case, there is definitely some form of life elsewhere.
