I just watched The Christmas Gift. It made me homesick for that area again. Such a beautiful town. (Of course the ranch in the movie is in Frazier, but there really is something very special about Georgetown. I went through there in 2007 again and it hadn't changed yet. The movie reminded me of when I lived in Empire and some corporation wanted to build a golf course on the sacred Indian land across the river from town and they were turned down because that wasn't what they wanted to end up like. Sometimes I wonder if that's where the idea for that movie came from.

Anyway - Christmas eve and I'm homesick for some of the most beautiful land in America.
I sure hope it stays that way.
