    Exercise.
Join a gym and do weightlifting, start eating right (high protein meals, low carbs) and watch your strength and muscle grow. Feel much better, more confident, and will be able to handle stress waay better.

Meditation. Meditation can wipe away the day's stress, bringing with it inner peace. 10 minutes a day is all you need.

Are you in India? Wondered because of your signature.

Stress is a natural part of life and you cannot remove it completely. Exercise, even walking, helps your body and mind cope and adapt to stress. But maybe exercise is not a good option for you?

Train your mind to cope with stress. I believe that's the most powerful approach and it's one that has the potential to remain effective for the rest of your life.

There's no instant solution, and unless you can remove the sources of stress, you might as well begin training your mind. This is something I've done and it can be highly effective; it has been for me.

A good place to start is with teaching your mind to be quiet and focus on what's happening each moment. You can train your mind to stop dwelling on the past or worrying about the future. There's much more to what I'm saying, but start with quieting your mind. It's not an easy thing for most people, so this can keep you busy for quite a while.

Like Mr Carpet says, exercise is good.

Another simple way is to use feeling states to affect your being. it is simple but for some may take a bit of practice.

One state you can try is to feel as if your muscles and skin are hanging off of your bones. For this to work you must actually feel the muscles and skin hanging beneath the bones, flapping loose like the skin on a fat lady's upper arm.

Or feel as if you are sitting, standing or lying directly beneath yourself, under the ground. The deeper the better.

These must be felt as real, not just a mental act of imagination. Use these states while at rest or in motion until they become second nature.

Find your own alternatives, as long as the feeling imagery aligns with what you are trying to achieve. In this case you are trying to counter tension and the upward tendency of our nature.

You could also try taking a break from thinking for a moment or two.

You'll never get rid of stress completely. But staying busy with something you're passionate about can help you cope with it.

As WC, has said going to the jym, does reduce stress and makes you feel better about yourself, image wise!

I did jym for about a year or so, before outstripping their equipment, and had to find another one, with heavier weights!

Then a year or so later, that one abruptly closed, and l had to find another.

Then l decided to try out Pelaties and using your own body weight, and household items to do some weight training as well.

Been doing that for years, and l always feel better or less stressed afterwards.

Also good evidence that it reduces illness later on in life, unless you prefer to be an inactive slob, then it doesn't matter!

Don,t know it was the first fat, slob l could find.

But l shouldn't be so harsh she has cut back and only devours 3 cakes a day, instead of the usual 5.

Everybody pretty much gave very good suggestions to you. One thing I would add is to make some basil and mint tea. Not the stuff in the bag, just go to the store and get some fresh basil and mint, boil water, steep for about 10-15 minutes, and drink away. Seems to help, but that may be a placebo effect.

I like to also indulge in alcohol......yeah that usually does the trick for me.

Stress start on the inside. Stress comes from the inside out, not from the outside in.

Stress is created by the mind, and not by circumstances. So, knowing this, you should work on controlling your stress levels NO MATTER WHAT!

No matter what is going on in your life and outside of yourself, you are the only one who can and should control "stress".

I hope you realize this. Realize that feeling stressed is a state of mind. Just like being happy is also a state of mind. You can decide when to feel happy, you just can, no matter what is going on with your life. It is the same thing with stress. You can decide whether to feel stressed or not. It is always a choice!

    I hope this helps!

    Keep up the great work!

    I wish you the best!

    Cheers!

I posted this same video not too long ago, interestingly in a thread started by WC about his high stress levels.

Glad to see you got it figured out and under control WC.

Anyway, I think this video is worth looking at if stress is eating at you. Stress was most definitely eating at me many months ago when I first came across this video, and I believe Ms. McGonigal here in this short presentation has permanently changed how I view, respond to and handle stress.

I still feel it, but I feel it differently - most definitely more an ally than enemy now. Which is really helpful, I think.

Conclusive proof that the mind can effect your health,....the trolls won't like that!

Certainly shows that stupid ad's showing an illness at it's worst, in order to scare someone into avoiding this and that, will probably help to cause it!

Also hints at Breast Cancer in family's not being genetic, it might just be one going through it, and the other females in the family being scared!

Realizing that you cannot control others and situations and then deciding how you will react helps a lot.

Also, most things are over and done and gone quickly. It happened, now take care of business and move on.

A friend of mine was raped a few days ago. It's a horrible event, but she is still the same person I like
and she is still just as gorgeous as before the rape (I hope to get her to realize this because she feels like dirt sometimes right now).

Stress is a fact of life and it will always be there. Take driving for example, people will always do
stupid and dangerous things on the road - just expect it and drive with the most awareness and intelligence that you can.

To reduce stress, you CHOOSE to not worry. You CHOOSE to be happy. You CHOOSE how you react to events rather than having the events choose for you.

You have train yourself to be your own watcher, and when you see your stress, you train yourself to let it go.

Meditation can help. Exercise can help. Going for walks or timeouts can help.

But ultimately those are just mechanisms you use to detach your mind. If you train your mind to detach from things you can't control on demand then you can save the time you would have spent meditating, exercising, or taking timeouts just to control the urge to strangle someone. Then you can go meditate or exercise and actually enjoy that experience as well.

It's all within your power. You CHOOSE to worry. You ALLOW yourself to be stressed. Instead, (learn to) CHOOSE not to.

I'd recommend you read Srikumar Rao's book... and repeat it every couple months.

Stress can be healthy to a degree. Life is really how you respond to it. It is important before you go to bed at night and when you wake in the morning to be aware of things that are going to make you feel good in the day. If you have a way to de-stress,meditate,take a bath, breathe, watch a funny show.....actually anything that makes you feel good will work. And learning to breathe through difficult things will assist you to become more resilient to what you would call a stressful situation.Pat yourself on the back more.

There is a lot of great advice on here. My favorite way to manage stress is with brainwave entrainment. Its very similar to meditation, though it doesn't really focus the mind like meditative practice, it brings it down into deeper brainwave states, and it gives the body a gazillion time the physical benefits of meditation. Good hormone production, very deep relaxation, etc.
