A Day in Melbourne!
First off l got off from the train station, hmmm, can't remember the name off hand, he, he!
And for the record Melbourne, isn't overrun with Kangaroo's and Koalas, although Wombats, not so sure?
Images from walking away from Flinders St Station,...to get a small cake!
This is the view from my fav, coffee shop, overlooking the Yarra, sigh! They have a lousy cake selection, hence the smuggling of the nice small cake from the other shop!
And Fed, Square has a pretty good art shop as well, on the left!
Then walking up to Museum station, we have Chinatown!
And Museum has the old shot tower, where they used to make shot for guns, by dropping molten metal down this building so it became cylindrical by the time it reached the bottom!
And this clock...
That does this every hour, well they move about while it plays Waltzing Matilda, worth a look if you are down my way!
Then for the Opal lovers here are some!
All of these images are a lot bigger than, this so let me know if you are desperate for a closeup?
Then last stop was the Hotel Sofitel, Collins Place, with these spectacular views from the,...ahem, well it has a big window!
you can see the Yarra again and the Tennis Centre with a live match on the left!
MCG, right!
And the Hotel, only $6 for a coke, and you get spoilt to death, well worth it!
Hope you enjoyed my guided tour!
