Where is the best diving in Australia?

      Oh the Great Barrier Reef definitely. You can go to Cairns. There are some tremendously beautiful diving spots off that town. Port Douglas is another possibility a bit further North. Lots of chartered diving trips organized at decent cost from both towns.

      There are also multiple islands in the area off the coast all the way down to Brisbane. They are all easily accessible. It is so beautiful there. They are really preserving the place. You cannot pick a shell off the beaches. You get fined if caught.

    Hi Goddie,


    I think the Tea Tree Bay in Noosa is small and family friendly. It's a gently shelving sandy beach with very few rocks. You can reach it easily through the National Park. It's very popular with surfers and there are public facilities there too..

    No reason to neglect the West coast either around Broome, ok its not the Great barrier reef but still it offers great diving
