Knowing me I'd probably kill 'em both.
But what would you do?

Force myself to wake up and then try and figure out why I had the nightmare!

Seriously, that would never happen in real life, so I don't need to even think about what I would do.

WC - are you looking for things to worry about or to be macho about?

Before a spouse can cheat on you - you must HAVE a spouse...and I get the impression you are FAR from that happening any time soon.

How true. Probably for the better anyways.

          Why do you say that?

It is obvious you'd like a relationship after reading through some of your posts. Work on yourself (not just the physical), then you'd be more likely to find a suitable woman.

....and if it was a woman, how hot was she?

And if it was a man, on a scale of one to ten..............

I can't remember who it was here but last year someone said they found themselves in this scenario.

And the person confronted the male suspect. The suspect said something to the extent like , " I know what you are thinking " and the person said something like, " if you knew what I was thinking you would just soon be dead tight now" insinuating his was thinking of extreme pain inflicted on this perpetrator for sleeping with his wife\girlfriend.

        Something like that.

I think it was me. I caught my first wife. I told the guy "If you knew what I was thinking, you'd be screaming".

          You may find this interesting.

He left (of course), but my only thought then was that he invaded my home, and stole from me.. It didn't even bother me that my wife was unfaithful. I instantly didn't want her anymore. But I didn't even raise my voice.

I think I told her (after he left). "The next time you see him, tell him he won. You're his now".

My wife was scared to death. She actually thought I was going to fight him for her. She thought there would be violence....in a romantic "These guys both want me" kind of way.

She got even angrier that I wasn't visibly upset. I moved into my office. The only thing that really bothered me, was that I knew it would affect my relationship with my son. This was maybe 32 years ago.

He walked in my store years later. He didn't know it was my store.

I thanked him for getting me out of a miserable marriage. He told me "I thought you were going to kill me"..

          I said "I was."

          He said "What stopped you?"

          I said "Witnesses".

I said it like I was talking about the weather.

She ended up marrying a local guy that was very good to her, and was good to my son.

              What stress?

My first marriage was a mistake. This one's a keeper.

A good wife/girlfriend lightens the load. Life becomes far more enjoyable, when you can share it with a quality person.

I'm happy that you are hung like a horse. It's thinking like a horse, that is a problem.

Yes WC, when the getting regular oats aspect of a relationship fades somewhat by the time you are into your late 50's you don't want to end up with an old nag.

Wow, it his makes me sometimes wish I had those Pro Social abilities. A lot of pain and suffering was averted because of your Self- control.

But really I guess it was less about Self - Control (and making a decision) and more about you being hardwired and just not having these innate feelings of rage arise in your brain...like the rest of us would have in such a situation

Yeah. Honestly, I get credited with strong self control. But it's a mistake. I just don't have real emotional spikes. Your insight about that is kind of impressive.

I'm not avoiding anything at all. That's the real answer.

Why should I waste my time and energy trying to come up with a plan for something that's never going to happen.

It would be the same as worrying what I would do if I woke up tomorrow morning and discovered I no longer needed a bra and was hung like a horse.

On a serious note. Same here. It would never happen in a million years. Not by either of us.

True, if you were hung like a horse is hung, the rope around your neck might get in the way of any relationship?

just as long as you don't use the magic mirror outside of the Pancake Parlour, don't want to scar the children for life!

And the adults for that matter!

WC, maybe you should go join, the "Hung like a Horse" forums, might have better luck?

I know from personal experience, that being well hung, as you put it, doesn't guarantee a relationship or even a lot of one night stands, eventhough a lot of people online seen to make out that it does!

For me it is looking as good as possible and being a decent human being, etc, as well as spiritual practices, that seems to attract women to me. Well, most of the time it is from a distance, but occasionally a door opens.

But since l want to meet my soulmate, it just seems to be improving myself and nothing much seems to happen.

Hopefully this year, finally, but l don't know anymore!

Well done. Far better than I managed in a similar situation some years back.

On a different note, I was just yesterday watching a documentary about the legendary hitman, Richard Kuklinski. You're "Witnesses" comment oddly reminded me of him.

    To address the OP -
Seems to me there's only one thing to do. Either leave or tell them to.
Under these circumstances, they either do not care for you enough to be honest - not a keeper.
Or - they haven't really decided you are the one, yet want you to consider them "the one" - not a situation to stay inside of.

So - I'd either walk or tell him to take a hike.

Studly Dudley's stick together? I've noticed men can be totally at odds with each other until the subject of "masculinity" or "the ladies" is brought up...then they fall into groups of "macho" and "know better than to go there".

With WC and Tim - I think it's an unshirt thing that brings them together.

I would never have that problem since I'm never getting married.

So what would I do if I caught my girlfriend cheating on me? That's an easy one: I'd just get another girlfriend. Resorting to violence doesn't solve anything.

      WC,
serious answer here: it happened to me in 1986 - yes, I lost my temper and started throwing things - who could blame me? - this was me in a relationship with a guy for 7 years and I was a surrogate mother to his 2 sons - I took on the role of mother gladly - and to be rewarded by a cheater whom I forgave once -
but after the second time - I had warned him that it would be over if it ever happened again -

so after throwing stuff in a rage, I packed up my things, and drove to a friend's house in a really bad snow storm -

I cried all the way there, not because of leaving my cheating common-law husband, but because I couldn't take my dog with me- Venus was a beautiful golden retriever/lab mix and my friend had cats who weren't used to other animals -

I also cried because of the 2 boys - again, they were thrown back into instability - all because their father couldn't think with his brain instead of his ****

I think killing someone for a betrayal is never the answer - why waste your life for someone who doesn't deserve it?
So you walk away, and never look back.
