In other words, instead of the cops, NSA or any other government agency pinging your phone for its location, recording all of its audio, and using its camera to record your life whenever it’s not shoved in your pocket,

adversaries will now have access to a 3D rendering of your house, work, car, and the locations of your friends, family and other loved ones.

That actually sounds quite cool tho... Think of all the cool stuff and applications which people are going to make because of it!

You can't be f***ing serious? Oh there are a million applications of this possible - kidnapping, stealing, blackmailing, murdering, watching live porn that nobody realizes they are actors in...........the list goes on.

The owners of google should be jailed immediately and their project destroyed if they release this travesty.

You tell me you'd be comfy with just anyone watching your child and knowing where s/he is at any given time and being able to tell if she has someone that can protect her close by or not.

I can't imagine anyone wanting a phone that would do that. I sure wouldn't own one.

Well, my interior decorating skills are woefully lacking. If it can help me with that, then sign me up.

I wouldn't mind one if I could keep the renderings and not have google taking them.
It would make garden planning more interesting.
I'd rather have software on my computer that could do that though.
My cell is very basic. I can talk and text on it and that's it.

I'm with you. But there are more people who don't give a crap about their privacy. They already have a thousand tracking cookies on their phone and if something helps them sneak up on their cat it's all good.

Raising a child is akin to knowing you're getting fired in 18 years and having to train your replacement without actively sabotaging them.

Do you remember all the antics of people trying to be in the "google earth" videos?

On this one, wouldn't it be fun to put a couple "bodies" on the floor???

HaHaHa.....the NSA has been piggy backing on google's spying applications for years, except google does it for advertisement purposes. Besides this isn't new technology at all, well except being added to a phone application. Ever hear of an infrared satellite? They are always watching
