Mines Star Wars.

Raising a child is akin to knowing you're getting fired in 18 years and having to train your replacement without actively sabotaging them.

I warned him about eating that sub-standard Indian Elephant Dung, but did he listen, Noooo!

There is only one movie that really did it for me, the first Matrix movie.

Come on, Claude, you're better than this. Only one movie I mentioned had cowboys.

I should add The Avengers to my list. Just a great popcorn movie. I still laugh every time I think about the Hulk side-punching Thor.

First; I agree with The Avengers. That, and Guardians Of The Galaxy, are the best of the litter, in my opinion.

Second; I loved when the Hulk flipped Loki back and forth, like in a cartoon...then walked away as he said "Puny god".

Third; I said Cowboy movies, because that sounded the most subtly gay to me.

And when you say "Claude, you are better than this", you are always wrong...because....

I am the Underminer! I am always beneath you..but nothing is beneath me!

(The Incredibles, another of my favorite movies.)

Kurt, I think you made up this movie. The word "does" implies movement or action of some kind. Claude doesn't do that.

On one level for me to "escape" the movie has to be totally absorbing with lots of plot twists and turns and it keeps you guessing right up until the end.

    Examples of this are:

    Shutter Island
    Inception
Sleuth (the original version with Olivier and Caine).
    12 Angry Men

On another level, "escapism" means shutting down all critical facilities and just going along for the ride. Examples of this are:

Die Hard (the first and definitely the best of the franchise)
    The Bourne Trilogy
    Most of the Bond films

Of course there are many other examples in both categories, the ones I listed are just the ones that came immediately to mind.

Mainly old sci fi, l particularly like "Capricorn One" and Shawshank Redemption, (well the end, most of it is pretty depressing).

The man in the white suit, is another good one, which is never played on tv anymore, can't upsett the sociopaths!
