    Well it's usually...

Where do you want to be in 5 years time?

    RICH!!!

    Why should we hire you?

So, l can save up enough money and put it on red or black a few times!

There is no one right answer to such questions, but I'm pretty sure that those are the wrong answers.

Anyway, why should you even care about getting hired if you are making $3500/month?

I once had an interviewer sit me down, and say: "So, do you have any questions for me?".

And I was like: "Nope, think I'm good."

And he said, in this douchey tone: "So, are we done here?" ... even though the interview had just begun.

Apparently he'd gotten in his head for whatever reason that the way to select a candidate was to find out the "quality" of the questions which they had for you, as opposed to answering questions you had for them.

The guy was a moron. And anyways, I desperately needed a job, and didn't end up wanting to work there anyways. lol

Why would you dislike stupid questions? They are the easiest to answer.

And why wouldn't you want to work for someone who isn't as bright as you? Impressing them, would be so much easier.
When I was hiring, I was always looking for crazy, vindictive, rumor spreading, sexist, racist, loser remarks that would disqualify the applicant immediately. I may ask a hard question, to see how they keep their cool when asked a hard question.

For the people that desperately need a job, and nobody will hire them? There is a reason.

Here's a tip. If the job interviewer asks you to describe yourself in three words, why not try: "violent when disappointed"?

So - you apply for a job just to be a jerk in the interview? Interesting approach.

One of the funniest (inside chuckle) interviews I've had was for a job I'd already been DOING for 2 years. The company re-organized and a young, polished and arrogant new manager made people re-interview FOR their jobs.

He asked where I saw myself in five more years with the company - my answer "your job". He laughed politely and said "so you think I'll be promoted". It was typical of him that anything said reverted to "all about me" with him.

Two years later I had his job - and he was fired. Last laugh time...

Hmmm, older Managers can be jerks as well, l have seen that happen a few times; Some manager gets an efficiency expert through the business, and a once friendly and human business turns into a robotic nightmare!

I saw that happen to a local Post office, friendly and casual turned to fast, arragent service.

Efficiency and occupation health and safety experts need to be shot!

A OHAS person can ban individuals from a worksite, because they didn't get updated, geez.

Most OHAS is common sense anyway, but most new employees have to sit through a good hour or two of that mindless dribble, red tape before commencing work.

I have set through a few, and wanted to hang myself afterwards. Well, hang myself while obeying OHAS!

They won't say, "if you step on a cat, you might fall down", no, they will cover all contingencies, until you start daydreaming about rope lengths!

Not quite "interview" - but I once worked as a temp for a company for around 6 months and they wanted to hire me but wanted an "updated" resume. I reminded them it was the same as the first one they got outside of the fact I'd been working for them for 6 months. They still wanted the resume - so I did it in multi-colored crayons. All the same info but the first entry was "HERE" with "YOU" as the supervisor name.

Do you know why you're here?

Silly me, I thought it was to interview for my first job out of law school, which is why the firm asked me to drive 100 miles to meet them after receiving my resume.

Turns out I was wrong. They wanted to pick my brain about some cool experiences I had that could help the interviewer's daughter in college, but they were not hiring.

No tears were shed when the firm later went out of business.

I was once asked at an interview the following questions:

"What do you think are your greatest strengths?" To which I gave the standard bullshit answers that everyone gives when asked that question.

The next question I was aked was "What do you think is your greatest weakness?"

My reply, without even a pause to think about it was, "Pizza".

After that the tension was broken, and it went from being an interview to just a chat about anything and everything, and yes, I got the job.

The trick in an interview is to stand out from the herd.

Oh man I have a weird experience before going to an interview. I'm rushing going to the interview place when I walk out in the elevator at my cousins place at that time and all of a sudden the sole of my leather shoe break away, I mean fly away. The glue of the shoe in the sole area give up.

And there's a lot of people saw it and laugh at me. So I went back to my cousins place to exchange the shoe but I don't have leather shoe anymore, so I decided to wear a black rubber shoes with white design on it. I look like a retard but I said to myself well it's all about how you carry yourself so I went ahead and be confident about myself.

There's a questionnaire they gave me and I answered it in my honest way.

There's a question there that said. " If you are a boss or a team leader and you see one of your team member drunk, what would you do?"

So at that time I said to myself would I answer it truthfully or I will answer it the right way.

So guess what I answered it truthfully, I said well I will talk to that person and ask him or her if there is any problem and then give him or her another drink and we will talk heart to heart while drinking beer.

I know that is not the right answer but it is my truthful answer, I said to myself if they really like me for who I am then I will say the truthful one.

The interviewer said: We you have an interesting answer to this question, Well in my mind what he is trying to say is you are a weird guy and you answer the question weird.

Guess what? I did not get the job, my weird outfit plus my weird answer is equal to Warning, Warning this is not the right guy for the job.

By the way it was an SEO Specialist job.
