Well, I was listening to a person today speaking of myths on the internet, etc.... ONE was how a person supposedly got banned from facebook because she was Christian. WELL, she used a LONG type of description and said .........a-GAIN FOLLOW.... It turned out being STUPIDITY on FACEBOOKS part. They used a VERY fuzzy search for "GAIN FOLLOW", and then assume it is an ad to "GAIN FOLLOWERS on EMAIL/FACEBOOK". Well, one person said that her son, old enough to fight for freedom, was turned down at a hotel for being too young. The speaker said the hotel said they required people to be 21 or over, and the soldier was 20. WELL, some hotels/etc require people to be over 25!!!!!

As for being old enough to fight, MANY have lied to fight EARLIER! \

NOW, as for AGES? HERE are some you might be interested in, for the US in general.

7yo <- first AGE BREAK for movies and some things. Basically, after this, I think you may be considered a TWEEN.
13yo<- second AGE BREAK for movies and some things. This is ALSO when COPPA and some cultures start treating you as an adult! It is ALSO about the time SCHOOL can end, for AMISH.
14yo<- ANOTHER AGE BREAK for movies.
16yo<- AROUND this time, you can start driving a car, getting married, doing some things without parental consent, etc.... It varies by state.
17yo<- ANOTHER AGE BREAK for movies. You also MAY be tried as an adult.
18yo<- Generally considered an adult, can be held to contractual terms, sign contracts, etc.... You are often done with the standard 12 grades at this point.
21yo<- Generally able to drink/gamble, etc....

MORE you may not know!

25yo<- Generally able to be insured for cars and property, you also LOSE youth rights, like special deals in hostels. Upon reaching 26, you are no longer generally able to be on your parents insurance.
BTW some insurers will NOT insure people under 25 for cars and, if they do, they charge a higher price, often based on your sex and age. BTW men are then charged MORE! Many car rental places, perhaps all, WON'T rent to younger people, and some hotels won't. I asked why, and it is often due to insurance, and past history.

35yo<- You can be president of the US, apparently regardless of any other requirement. I wonder when they will lower THIS to 16 or 7! After all, THEY are times when you can do other things ALSO!

It WOULD be nice and proper if agencies told you their minimums UP FRONT, but they often don't.

Steve

OK! So heysal is on a planet with a 42 hour day, and you are on one with a year that is like over 100 earth years? Are you both on the same planet, or is it a federation of some sort?

Except I haven't self proclaimed anything, there are many people here with science knowledge in multiple areas. If I'm a know it all because I engage in a debate and put my point across, so be it. Hey ho, life's to short to take BS from someone .

Yeah, you can give it but can't take it.

No doubt you'll want the last word as well, college boy.

Haha! Age does not determine wisdom.

Haven't you ever heard the term "old fool"?

This probably varies by state. There are a 12-year-old and 13-year-old being tried as adults in Milwaukee right now. They lured a sixth grade classmate to the woods and stabbed her repeatedly, supposedly to gain favor from a fictional character called Slender Man.

Yeah, I was talking traditionally. There has been talk about whether we should have ANY limit! Frankly, I think the idea that a teenager is incapable of determining right from wrong, and doesn't understand about death is just DUMB!

My family actually conspired to hide a friend' death from me when I was 8! I always suspected he was dead, and even asked the MTs, on the way to the hospital! He was driving the car we were in. Everyone lied to me. It was over a month before my best friend at the time told me that my father asked everyone, including her, to hide it from me. I was upset about not getting to show my respect for him, and that everyone somehow thought I was so fragile, but I had an idea about what happened, and that he died, and all. BEFORE THAT, I worried about a pet hamster maybe dying because she was gnawing power wires, when she got out of her cage. I ALSO mused at how bad the world was. I mean THIS place could be heaven, but people have worked to create SO many problems. So I definitely understood all that, even before it happened to me.

      Butters,

I've been lucky. I've only had a few keyboards go bad, and usually can fix them with a cleaning. But the caps key has not been one of the most likely to go bad. Then again, I use my keyboards a lot, and most of it has been.......SURPRISE...... LOWER CASE. ALSO, IBM decided to change things with the PC. Prior to the PC, keyboards were generally lock in caps, and shift to caps. NOW, it is a locking and a momentary toggle. So the wear and tear could go either way.
