In today's technology driven world do you still prefer physical books or do you only get ebooks? Please share your choice and reason/opinion.

    Physical all the way.
I HATE reading off a screen.
Love the smell of a new book.

In my opinion, e-book is better because you can have 999 books in 1 book and you don't have to take a package of books with you. Also you can save a lot of trees in this way, because the companies don't need them anymore to give you the desired product.

I like both for different reasons. Work stuff is better online for m in general but I love fiction books as physical books so I can curl up in my recliner and just read and relax.

While I prefer physical books, I'm slowly succumbing to the e-trend and I don't like it.

There are certain fiction authors I'll always read in physical format. Some books are called "page turners" for a reason, I suppose. I'll also always purchase reference material in physical format. Additionally, I'm that jerk who tells you you just have to read a certain book and then promptly shoves it in your face. Those I'll continue to buy in book form. I'm not lending everyone my tablet when I force them to read something.

Raising a child is akin to knowing you're getting fired in 18 years and having to train your replacement without actively sabotaging them.

Physical books are great and have many benefits, but I prefer ebooks because of environmental issues.

But I don't collect books or ebooks, I just have a library.

      You are an evil man.

I have a collection of paperback adventure novels, that are in print. I wouldn't buy the Kindle version, because I want the physical book, to add to my library.

Most books, that I buy to study, are in print. I write notes in them, and use a highlighter.
Book that I know I'll only read once, I buy as a kindle book. Usually shorter books, that I can read in less than an hour.

I'll read ebooks on Kindle, but I still prefer the physicality of a printed book - it's a more satisfying reading experience.

There's some interesting research being carried out on the differences between electronic and printed text and how the brain interprets each medium. Some cognitive psychologists suggest that it's easier to retain the information contained in a physical book, perhaps in part because the tactile nature of the experience helps to lay a foundation for long-term memories and knowledge.

There's more on the research results, and further speculation in this article, although as it's only on-screen, you'll probably soon forget it:

It's highly doubtful that's the reason.

Let's be clear here. My posts are so highly advanced, so amazingly crafted...that most mortal men simply don't have the cognitive skills to understand the depth of meaning...that my posts contain.

Sometimes, when I am allowing my true genius to flow....the essential truth to what I post, brings tears to my eyes. I become object and observer...both Yin and Yang. Both instantaneous and eternal, for that is my nature.

The secret is, allowing the hypothalamus to open up, to the divine resonance of the gravitational and electromagnetic vibrations. These planetary forces, superimpose themselves on our physical being...thereby allowing a flow of pure bio-electricity to the subconscious regions of the brain.

This creates a bio-feedback loop, from the universe to my brain, allowing for the free forming of genius ideas.

You, however have the consciousness of an eggplant. So, it would be impossible for you to see the brilliance of my ideas, unless you evolved to accept the reality of your insignificance.

              Ya got that?

Copy this post, and send it to ten of your friends. Only by spreading my genius, without diluting the message's vital essence....will Nirvana finally be reached.

              Yoursa Truly.

I am living in a small crevice..in the corner of your temporal lobe. I am slowly eating my way to your cerebral cortex. And I have been giving you the hallucination that you have free will, and that your name is Mark.

At night, my psychic assault is weaker, and that is why you fall to sleep.

I am invisible to you, but only when you are looking directly at me. I am the whisper you hear...when there is complete silence.

Don't turn around...and don't blink. It is during your blinks, that I am gaining control.

Loved physical books and Book stores were my favorite but once I started going on trips for fun and business ebooks won me over. Wouldn't dream of packing 50-60 books. That and being able to read in any light without disturbing anyone made ebooks my favorite.

My thoughts about "Digital Books, Music, ETC." is that if any chance we lose access to electronics you have nothing and own nothing. If you have the physical item you can read it without electronics or power. It is yours forever and tangible.
