1) Post links to your websites - that will forever mark you as a forum spammer and could get your post deleted, and may even result in a ban - no exceptions.
2) Ask questions about marketing down here in the off topic forum - this section is like a lounge - anything goes (except politics and religion) - but we generally don't discuss marketing - post in the appropriate forum or you will be ignored or your post removed.
3)Expect your post count to go up - when you post in the Off Topic forum, your post count stays the same
4)Spam - you'll be reported and banned. We don't take kindly to spammers - yes this is the same as number 1 and bears repeating - so you get it.

    I dunno - I kinda miss the skewer and bbq fests we used to have here when spammers snuck in. Now we only have each other to lampoon. Sigh. It's just not as much fun because everyone in here is so sane and normal...............

    Thanks for the heads up. Not only I am new to WF but I am new to forums in general. So far it's pretty good. I noticed I typed in my username wrong -does anyone know how I go about fixing that? I had a look but couldnt figure it out.

    Phew, I've only just posted an introduction post, didn't see the thread with advice on how to go about it. Luckily I'm no spammer, so I think I'm ok

    I also don't follow politics or have an opinion on peoples religious beliefs, so I think I'll do ok here...... As long as British humour is tolerated

      One of the rules is that a person's sig has to be their own site. I know of a regular poster that got his sig privileges taken away for having it point to LeadPages.net.

      When there was a thread about this sort of thing and all the exceptions that may reasonably exist, no one with authority answered so I assume that only means that the sig link really does have to be your site. In other words, no exceptions.

      May want to figure out a different way to do it or get some clarity from the people in charge.
