When the batter mix was sampled from the back of the restaurant and sent to a lab, they reported three ingredients:

    - Flour
    - Pepper
    - Monosodium glutamate

So much for eleven herbs and spices. It is, however, eleven syllables.

      CDarklock,

      you lack romance.

      Congratulations, Ron, on your book.

      Actually, it's 12 syllables.

Flour is pronounced the same way as flower, which is 2 syllables, not one.

Only if you're a Yankee. In the South, it rhymes with "star."

I'm only going by the official Webster's Dictionary pronunciation which is
the same regardless of where you come from.

If you actually look, you'll find that the schwa (and its attendant syllable division) is optional. The word may be pronounced with one or two syllables; either is correct.

However, as the "K" in KFC stands for "Kentucky," I suggest the Southern pronunciation is appropriate.

One of Jay Abraham's proteges worked with Col.Sanders

                Hey Dr...

A little more trivia...It was Dave Thomas, founder of Wendy's, that had the idea for the bucket KFC uses, when he worked for the Colonel. They even used the bucket in their signage for many years., and still use the bucket today to serve chicken.

Also, didn't Dave Thomas also start the drive through window? I remember hearing that somewhere...

                  Mike

                  Edit - Found this:

"It was Harry and Esther Snyder, of the In-N-Out Burger chain that built the first drive-through restaurant in 1948. Harry and Esther, the chain's founders, built their first restaurant in Baldwin Park, California, with a two-way speaker to enable patrons to order directly from their cars without the intermediation of a carhop. Within 5 years, they had added a drive-up window to one of their locations, though not all locations would receive a window."

                  Edit #2:

"Wendy's restaurants is credited with creating the first modern-day drive-through window, an innovation which they introduced at the grand-opening of their second store in 1970."

Come to think of it, I believe I heard this on a biography of Dave Thomas...

                  Anyway, back to work.

Why was this put into the off topic section? I don't get that. Having a Warrior get recognition at a high level in internet marketing is off-topic?? Something is wrong here.

                    Anyways, congrats again Ron.

What's Accent? It sounds like posh emulsion paint for the lounge.

I thought he looked familiar in that article. It's one of our own Warriors!! How exciting.

If you are reading this Ron, can you get the recipe for Mrs. Winner's biscuits and Popeye's Chicken biscuits? They are the bomb. I would buy the book just for that.

I will be firing up my deep fryer to make some of this chicken along with a mess of collard greens and some down home Southern macaroni & cheese. Can y'all tell I was raised in the South?? Shout out to Paula Dean :-)

I was watching Fox and Friends early in the morn the other day when I saw Ron on there. Almost dropped a load.

While its common knowledge that these 'secret recipe' sites have been on the web for years and years, I've never seen any of the other 'authors' make Fox News.

Thats a pretty big deal...congrats Ron.

I have to ask...did you get to meet Megyn Kelly? If so, did you hit on her? If not, what were you thinking?
