I noticed that the article forum is now open to new articles.

So browsing through that section I came across a thread that interests me but when I try to reply to the OP it says restricted and the possible reason it that I must upgrade to being a war room member, I've been a member of the war room for quite some time now.

What gives?

    Don't know where you are seeing "open" - the sticky from an Admin posted in that section in March says it's closed...haven't been any articles posted there for months.

      In this particular case, I kinda agree with them. What's the real difference between an "article" in that sub-forum and a "blog post" in a WF blog? (Honest question; not being snarky.)

        The article section has been closed to new members for more than a year. The previous forum owner had to allow 'paid members' of that section to post until their annual membership expired.

        I never looked at it so didn't miss it.

    The reason I said that it was open is that there were 5 articles posted this year in January.

      The previous mods posted in 2014 that the article section was closed to new members BUT they had to leave it open for as long as the members who paid for a year in advanced were authorized to use it. That's why there were no official posts about the "closing". I'd expect January was when the last people who had paid for a year of access saw their subscription expire.

      I expect the new owners had to honor those one year subscriptions, too, so that's why you saw a few articles in Jan.

      It's confusing - I agree with that.
