A Long Time Ago Camstasia Studio 3 was Free!

Yeah, a long time ago I could download the software for free and it was pretty okay to use. As such as time has gone on, have any of the newer versions been offered for free by Techsmith is what I'd like to ask?

I used to run it okay on XP and now have Win 7 so it would be ideal to run more up to date software.

Good question. I purchased Camstasia 8 studio. Nice software. Maybe there are new upstart apps to that might be convincing?

VSDC Free Video Editor 3.0.0

VSDC is free except you have to agree to install Conduit (a search bar - considered malware by various anti-malware and anti-virus software apps) so use at your own risk

  This is what I use and it works great. It might require a bit of tweaking and downloading of a few codecs, but it's great software for free.

  Brian, you'll probably get your answer faster if you ask them.
  
  Are you just looking for free or low cost editor? Windows Movie Maker is free and, while I haven't used it, I'm told it has many of the same capabilities. You might also find an older version of Camtasia on eBay at a relatively cheap price.
