I used to be really well with managing my time and good at making sure I had time to myself. But lately, work has pretty much taken over all aspects of my life. I'm willing to put in whatever it takes to make my business successful, but I was wondering if anyone on here had any golden tips/advice on how to make more time during the day.

I heard this inspirational speaker talking about Thomas Edison. and apparently he didn't sleep at night. He would take 6 * 20 minute naps during each week day.

That seems a little extreme for me, but I would love to know if anyone has any other tips to basically get make my days more productive.

Thanks guys.

Between work, errands, things like doctor, dentist, car or home repair appointments, kids - if you have them, cooking, cleaning, self care -- you can't get everything done on your own. You either find an equally ambitious significant other to divide the labor with or you hire someone to help out.

I feel sorry sometimes for new marketers here who are seriously trying to get started online. If they read many of the "how to" or "what to" threads it sounds as if all IMers do everything....and they don't.

You cannot "make" time - you can only rearrange the time you have available. If you are working a job (many of us started online while doing that) you have to focus narrowly on one goal and work toward that one goal.

Allocate your time to work on building your site/blog or your online business. During that time ....FOCUS on that work. Don't jump to emails or forums or check out the sales page for the latest launch....WORK on what needs to be done for your business.

You don't have to have huge blocks of time available - but you do need to efficiently allocate the time you have. Set realistic goals that you can meet.

Note: By 'realstic goals' - I do NOT mean "I want to earn $$$". I'm talking about goals of writing a kindle book or setting up a new site or posting XX times to your blog, etc.
