Former Defense Minister Claims Governments Are Hiding Aliens From People

A former defense minister has claimed that the world's governments are hiding aliens from people, Mirror reported. Paul Hellyer is urging world leaders to release what he thinks to be a secret data on UFOs. He started talking about the alien existence back in 2005. The 91-year-old said that aliens have been visiting Earth for many years and are not impressed with how we live our lives. He further said that we spend a lot of our time fighting with each other, we spend a lot of money on military expenses and not enough on looking after the sick and homeless and feeding the poor.

In 2014, Paul Hellyer announced on Russian TV that aliens are walking among us. However, he said that they are not willing to share their breakthrough technologies until we change our warring and polluting ways. Hellyer thinks that aliens are responsible for a few of our modern technology such as the Kevlar vest, LED light and microchip. He served as Canadian defense minister in the 1960's.

Looks like a Klingon Bird of Prey?

Ok, now that l have gotten that bad joke out the way, according to some here, that makes this 91 year old a total nutcase?

I don't see any men in white shirts and a straight jacket on standby?

Plenty of good proof about that they have visited us for some time, (and no l won't raise the pyramid one) and the sheer number of planets out there around stars, makes advanced civilizations likely.

And l know the inevitable, why haven't SETI found anything. Because it is stopped on the aliens end.

And the other excuse of the distances are too great, not if you live for 1000 years it isn't, it just takes a while to get from point A to B.

Ok, l will let this thread get hijacked and dismissed as a flock of seagulls or swamp mist, (that is always a good excuse)?

It won't be hijacked by me, not on this particular story anyway. I've heard too much stuff from military figures to discount it out of hand. However that doesn't mean it constitutes proof either. It just means that is one of the many unexplained (as yet) things I've got an open mind on.

An open mind means it's waiting to be filled with facts. Unfortunately there s a whole lot of mis- and dis-information to sift through. I'm not 100% "for" it because of the mountains of crap on this subject matter.

I first got told about this by my best mate in high school. After we left school he joined the Army and when he'd come back at Xmas time we'd get together over a "few quiet beers" <ahem>, and he'd tell me stories about stuff like this and many other things that Joe Public will never get to hear about.

One of the stories I'll never forget is that Australia has had nuclear weapons capabilities since the late 1950's. There are a number of nukes in place at the North West Cape facility waiting to be launched if the poop ever hits the fan.

Just because I don't believe in a lot of the stuff you post, it doesn't mean I don't believe in everything you post.

For instance I believe there is definitely something going on at Area 51, I just don't believe any of the stories that are out there about what is going on.

The unfortunate thing with stories like the OP is that they never go any further.

So, on the story in the OP, I've got an open mind. But I want something more before I'm going to subscribe to it.

There was a book that came out a year or two ago the presented an interesting theory. I didn't read the book but saw the author on a couple of talk shows. Supposedly, she interviewed a number of people that used to work at Area 51.

One of her theories is that Area 51 was used for nuclear research. They "planted" stories about aliens as a distraction.

The nuclear research theory does make some sense. First, Area 51 is located very close to the nuclear testing facility outside of Las Vegas, where lots of tests were made in the 1950s. Actually, the tests were "tourist attractions" and people would line the streets of Las Vegas to view the mushroom clouds from the explosions.

By keeping Area 51 "secret" all these years, they could dispose of nuclear and toxic waste and legally avoid any issues from our Environmental Protection Agency.

I can't remember all the details, but her theory sounded plausible to me.

BTW, according to a number of investigative reports by the local Las Vegas journalist considered to be the main expert on Area 51, it appears it moved to Utah 15 or so years ago. The journalist noted a lack of people traveling from McCarran Airport in Las Vegas to Area 51 as a major clue, among others.

It's still shut down, though. Tight.

I also don't think we've ever heard the truth about what went/goes on there yet, either. As long as it's closed up with guards willing to shoot trespassers, I don't think we'll ever really know.

          That makes sense,

A comedian once talked about all the secrecy in Area 51, and he said, "Of course, what do you think happens if you trespass on Area 52? Do you think they invite you to tea?"

          I thought it was funny.

Area 52? Is that a secret high-tech lab outside of Wooster for testing the optimal size for Alien donut holes?

That's correct, they are then shipped to Area 53 (Just under the freeway bridge) where the captured male aliens are and turned into Alien Creampies. The ones made by the aliens from the lunar surface are known as Moon Pies.

They then deliver them to all bakeries in the area and the customers are covertly monitored for anomalies, side effects and strange looking babies. This has been going on since before 1955 I understand.

        These threads are interesting.

If you ignore the actual subject, and just think about the reactions....

Some of us immediately accept the claim as true. No evidence required. In fact the first reaction is to defend the claim, and say that any other explanation would be closed minded.

Explanations for the claims, like; Dementia, Alzheimer's, Schizophrenia...are immediately discarded.

These claims need to be true.

Sometimes we get a new member that fixates on one subject. They seem lucid, except that, "Zombies are here among us now, and are taking over the world".

A few.....Every single wild claim, made by anyone, is absolutely true. There is no real pattern to it. Every claim is simply true. And every attempt at another explanation is, "Closed minded, arrogant, drinking the Kool Aid, sticking your head in the sand, being sheep", and of course..it's part of the ever present, government cover up.

It isn't a lack of evidence....it's that there doesn't need to be any evidence. The claim doesn't have to connect to any part of reality..at all.

That's the part I find interesting.

The idea of aliens being here, walking among us? Not that interesting to me.

The willingness to instantly believe it, and defend the idea? That's what's interesting to me.

Oh, and the OP is simply posting new thread subjects that are proven to get lots of comments. All his posts are like that.

The WHOLE idea of SETI is STUPID!!!!!!!!! \

    1. It ASSUMES that any intelligent civilization is using ELECTRICITY! OK, FAIR ENOUGH! EVENTUALLY they MAY use that basic force available everywhere.
    2. It ASSUMES that they are using magnetism. OK, FAIR ENOUGH, see above.
    3. It assumes that they have EVER used magnetism to transmit signals. DICEY, but OK, possible.....
    4. It assumes that they have used OUR method to decode/encode signals. UNLIKELY.
    5. It assumes that they will sense our signals as intelligent. NEAR IMPOSSIBLE.
    6. It just starts to get less and less likely! FURTHER, there is the assumption that they even WANT to communicate with us. Realize that they will have to use some other basic communication to communicate with far off ships.

HECK, I KNOW binary! I have since like the early seventies. It predates most of the computer hobbyist era, which predates Microsoft and Apple! I ALSO know about DNA, etc... I certainly know what we look like. I saw a VERY crude diagram that supposedly showed all of the above. SUPPOSEDLY, we got an answer to it! Anyway, I would not necessarily have thought of binary when I saw the area. I would not have necessarily thought of dna when I saw that!(It was simply the spiral illustration generally used). I might have thought the humanoid was a robot or something.
The answer had the dna with an extra strand, IIRC, and the humanoid was replaced with a grey. I don't recall if the binary was changed. If I were an alien, and saw say 1,2,3,4,5 in the binary, I would have replaced it with 6,7,8,9,10.

Would an alien race, EVEN after the supposed 10-20 year delay(It was 20 years later, travel both ways at the speed of light could have been 10), even RECOGNIZE the attempt? How about determine where it came from, create a response, and deliver it?

BTW FM, AM, XM, DIGITAL, etc... ALL use different methods to encode/decode radio. We also have TONS of different frequencies. And the farther those signals go, the more they will degrade and the more noise there will be. An alien race may even have a technology running at a harmonic, which would make our signal virtually INVISIBLE! So there are plenty of domestic examples of the problems involved.

It's only a semi-interesting subject to me. Do I believe it could be true? Sure it can. We're in space and we're a relatively retarded species in the spectrum of "intelligence" - if we weren't we wouldn't have poverty, war, over-population, factory farms, and people subjecting other species to lives of hell.

If there are aliens here - or that have been here, I think they're most likely so disgusted by us they don't want anything to do with us. Then, too, if they are humanitarian, harmonious beings, it seems like they would stop our leaders from torturing humans and allowing other humans to torture other species. I don't see how they'd be able to see us working our way into space and not be concerned that the likes of us might "get" it eventually and be able to spread our garbage and violence all over the universe.

There have been too many brass coming forward saying the same thing for me to completely discount this. My problem with the idea is that if the species is intelligent enough to get the distances they need to get to be here - how is it our govs seem to be strong/smart enough to be able to hide them? Seems like at their level of tech, even if they themselves are frail, they'd be able to hand leaders any form of "whoop ass" they wanted to in order to stop the barbarity going on here.

Possible, probable - but a lot about it not making sense to me.

Poverty is due to various things, and NONE mean the species is RETARDED! Factory farms also don't have such a relationship. As for war and overpopulation, I guess that is a given because of how most creatures on the earth are.

If an alien race could covertly hamper our ability to work with things like radioactivity, one would think they would. OTHERWISE, I think they would stay away.

Humanity may have a LOT of problems, but it would be idiotic to believe that if you had a huge advantage you could flaunt it. History is RIFE with such HUGE mistakes being made. So AGAIN, I would say BE COVERT! HECK, look at star trek with their prime directive. That is probably the BIGGEST lesson anyone could learn from the franchise! Look at the episode where a ship decides to break protocol and changes a nice peaceful slightly backward planet into one like earth with wars and headed by CORRUPTION! The enterprise goes there, and the way team is held captive for ransom!

Of course, it has happened HERE ALSO! NOW we have to deal with Russia, that in WWI apparently used the most marvelous War device in their arsenal, according to the history channel, IIRC! The device? A TRUCK the US gave them! YEP, a TRUCK! NO, it was NOT armored and had NO weapons! It was great for moving the weapons they had though, and keeping supply lines open. NOW, they have the bomb, and we are afraid IRAN will start making them!

If I were the president then, I would simply have called up the emporer of Japan and nicely asked him to surrender. If he refused, I would have simply said "would you surrender if Hiroshima and Nagasaki were suddenly desolated, without us even firing a shot, and with not one American death?"! Maybe he would have called back later that week, or the next, and said OK, WE SURRENDER! We wouldn't even have to reveal we did ANYTHING! But NOPE, we made it a big deal and the world knew all about it.

As Steven Hawkins said... I think it was him; If governments around the world are hiding aliens, it's the best secret a governent has ever been able to keep... Personally, I think there are aliens out there in some form, it's statisrically probable. Do we have one in the basement, doubt it.

No, they just made a deal with Eisenhower, to butt out of our affairs, in exchange for landing space.

After all if we have a hundred years of oil left, the last thing we want is free electricity!

Or two lift up most of the worlds population from abject poverty apparently.

WHY does everyone say this? It is DUMB! OH, it is CLEAR that the government didn't do this, because otherwise, we would be questioning whether or not they did! THEY ARE QUESTIONING IT!

BTW People HAVE been told they have had several aliens, and had one for some time. Do I think it is true? I DOUBT it! But the fact is that they have NOT kept the secret! Look at the B2 bomber! It was likely unknown by almost everyone on the planet! They had OTHER projects revealed that could have been used to cover up the B2! Yet a MODEL company DID create a model that was CLOSE to the B2!

SO, did they keep the secret? YES AND NO! But they DID keep the secret as well as Steven Hawkins CLEARLY said they never have and never could! using HIS logic, the B2 bomber DOES NOT EXIST!

The same is true of the skunk works! IT was ALSO a conspiracy theory. I almost got a job there, had an interview and everything. It's real.

I guess the aliens and I have something in common. At least part of the time. Then someone comes along and reminds me some folks do live a pretty impressive life. It's just hard to remember that sometimes when we're constantly bombarded with the negative.

Um, Shane, there isn't a person on the planet whose "view on things" is 100% objective. We're all influenced, at least to some degree, by our beliefs and life experiences.

The key is being aware of that, and being open to considering other viewpoints.

Soooooooo...your thought is that Hawking is wrong, based on the fact that he isn't religious, and he's in a wheelchair?

And.....your thinking is, "I am religious, and I'm not in a wheelchair....so I must be right"

No, there is a big difference between someone who is religious and someone who is spiritual.

Someone who is religious might have a out of the norm experience, someone who is spiritual does!

Stephen Hawking would never consider that trying to make nothing create everything, is a little silly. But trying to say that nothing created something that then created everything is probably as well?

But personal experience, tends to differentiate the two.
