Be warned, if you haven't watched the video below and you choose to do so you do see a man on fire who later died of his injuries.

Today is the 30th anniversary of a fire at Bradford City football ground which claimed the lives of 56 people.

The footage in the video below is widely used for various training, fire service, health and safety etc, but it still amazes me just how quickly you can see the fire spread at 1 minute 55 seconds and demonstrates just how deadly fire can be.

RIP.

Providing there's enough oxygen and fuel (an open wooden stadium provides enough of both), a fire doubles in size every minute.

Before seeing this video or the one of the station nightclub fire I honestly never realised fire could travel or spread so fast. Before I'd seen those I reckon I would have been like ok so there's a fire, what's the rush? Even then if you did move fast you might still get unlucky like many of those Bradford fans did by choosing another exit and finding it locked.
