Some idiot tried to get me to give them everything. NO THANKS! I could barely help but laugh as I kept answering questions with reasonable giberish! Anyway, I later found references to their scam. In their honor, I decided to give them a little publicity! AREN'T I NICE!?!?!?

Nothing new there, once they get some of your money, then they will come up with more and more clever but outlandish scams to get every cent you have, or at the very least your personal details!

The piece of S*** that l dealt with, was part of a group and even after giving this creature some money, she came up with another one!

I also sensed that this creature was wrestling with her conscience, (or what was left of it).

She will end up with 1000 pairs of shoes, and not much else!

Steve, I really don't think giving them a link here on WF is a good idea. I get scammy scummy phone calls most every day, sometimes as many as 4 in a day. I won't play with them, we are on the do not call list, so even if I could talk to someone by pressing some number the robot caller gives you, I put them on the hold button or just hang up.

Please don't give them the time of day or a link. Pretty please.

The link is to a forum thread discussing the scam, not to the scam itself. I had to reread what Steve wrote a couple times myself.

I go all the way through after paying on paypal, I should have known better but you never know whom to trust anymore. I just hope that the Telephone Number was a toll-free like it said on the home page. Does anyone know for sure?
I have a hard time feeling sorry for idiots that get taken on things that are obvious scams.

That is a very old scam and, sadly, people still fall for it. I have had that call lots of times and I always win the call by challenging them (if I am in the mood) or simply saying "no thanks" and hanging up.

I tired to play along until he asked me to read what was on the screen. Maybe I should have, but it likely wouldn't have been what he expected.

He treated me like some neophyte that believes Microsofts people are GODS, and that I was looking for ANYONE to lead me through the morass of the computer age! But all I REALLY wanted was a nice camera and recorder. But it was nice for a laugh.

April. I WAS being sarcastic about being nice. Yeah, I'm hoping this creates at least a little drop in their "business".

Why do you think they keep calling back? I wouldn't be surprised if they're actually charging people to receive the verbal abuse.

When they call back, ask them what they're wearing.

Tell them you're sitting on the couch naked, eating a bowl of cereal & watching Bonanza.

Good idea, but you just might get some sob who is into that kinda thing and want to discuss it with you. Far better to stick these yoyos on hold to waste their time or just laugh and hang up.

Was working with a client last week in his office, I was busy but noticed he was on the phone, they access to his brand new laptop, he just bought the night before, scanned it and found tons of errors presented a bill for $199 to fix it lol.

He called me over and filled me in, I got on the phone with them and started asking technical questions he could not answer, as I was cutting their remote access off.

What a scam. Problem is, same thing happened to his wife and she actually paid them.
