Lockheed unveils SR-72 Hypersonic Mach 6 Scramjet Spy Plane
Boeing has been working on the X-51 scramjet tech demo for the last decade, and in 2013 it finally completed a successful hypersonic (Mach 5.1, 3,400 mph, 5,400 kph) test flight. |
This explains the telltale stop, start vapor trail in the skys, and not surprisingly NASA's reluctance to say anything!
See NASA does keep some secrets, or try's to!
This thing should be able to reach Mach 6 and at least Mach 10 at 80,000 feet, scramjet speeds.
Which means if they can figure out how to drop a nuke at scramjet speeds, they would be untouchable during a conflict.
I will never watch this movie again, in the same way.
