NBC has recently predicted that in 2017, all of America will be tagged with microchips.

Am I the only one that finds this scary as heck?

  • LOL....yeah and all the numbers will begin with 666 but the skeptics will say its just a coincidence.

I'd relax though. Those year predictions in the news almost never pan out....... so you are safe till......2019.

    • DON'T LAUGH! Such things have been allowable for some time. At least 2 families have INTENTIONALLY gotten chipped. SOME organizations offered free child ID registration and one thing was RFID chips! So there may be MILLIONS of people born like 20 years ago that are chipped and don't know it.

That said? Yeah one year for EVERYONE is probably out of the picture. Am I chipped? WHO KNOWS? I DID have an extensive operation, and was in the hospital a few times since. I had a few flu shots. ANY of those times I could have been chipped.

  • You are the T 1000, Cybernetic Organism. Human flesh stretched over a Metal Endo Skeleton. The Terra-izer. Your prophetic sidebar quote fulfilled.

Lexi, I'm going out for some dog biscuits, I'll be back! Remember when you announced to your cat you were going out to get some food for it. You said: "Asta La Friskies, Babee"

    • The sign of the beast, we can't allow Bible prophesy to fall down in a heap?

I wonder how long it will be before, someone with a weak heart and a chip goes into a city and gets barraged with stupid ad's?

"Mr Williams, Drink Hyagan, guaranteed to relax you"?

At least when someone wears a tinfoil hat, they won't look like idiots, just want to cut out invasive advertising!

They have effectively dumbed us down with crap on tv, and dodgy schooling, so the time has come!

  • People called me crazy when they were yelling about how great the ACA was. Well, I actually read it. I won't even go near the website let alone sign on for that crap. If I get fined..........oh well. At least I'll still own my own body.

BTW - HR 4872 has only 55 pages and there is nowhere in the bill that Class II medical devices is mentioned. It is the ACA - and it's Class III devices that are the culprit.

  • OH, ABOUT 666! One guy wrote a book about some bar code that always had 666. At the time, I was into bar codes, and I checked it out. The 666 DOES look a bit like 666 and IS in all such bar codes. Of course, the 666 is MANGELED! WHY is it there? It is there as a sort of check to make sure the scanner scanned the number right. This is found all throughout computers. It is usually nowhere near a 6 and, on bar codes, is only SIMILAR. But if a prophet saw it, who knows?

  • Don't stress about the microchip. The phone in your pocket is already tracking your location and everything you do.

    • Ha! I've never been called an orgasm before and come to think of it, I'm not sure if I would consider that a compliment or an insult.

      Hey!

Stop talking negatively about yourself! I won't allow it because I like you too much.

      Wrong! Not everything. Heh, heh!

  • Funny,

This is what you get for watching NBC news, the lame stream medium of the white house, and yes, they do want us all with RFID implants. lol Think about it, would you let some gov. hack implant you with God knows what? It is bad enough they have our passports tracking us, and soon, all licenses, and all those arrested, so is it possible, under socialism it is.

    Success to all,

    • You know what I find funny?

That you are so pompous as to assume that I watch NBC!

If you must know the truth, my son showed me the page I linked to on his phone that was sent to him by a friend who is visiting a foreign country at the moment.

How smart do you feel now?

    • They recently passed a new law mandating that all credit cards now have these chips. They CLAIM it limits fraud! Two REALLY big problems!

      1. IT DOESN'T!
      2. Do you have ANY idea, as a dollar percentage, how much I buy in person with my credit card? VERY little! The average sale IN PERSON is about $15(about maybe <12 a month). The average sale on the phone or internet is about $700(about maybe >12 a month)! OK, so MAYBE it can catch 2% of fraud MAYBE. That is such a small chance! But SERIOUSLY, I could work around that if I had to.

  • In addition to all the given reasons, I'm concerned about reactions to the implants.
Allergic, body rejecting it, causing cancer...

    • I agree though there are currently implants done for various medical treatments that don't seem to have those problems.

I wouldn't tolerate a mass "chipping" of the public - though I initially wondered if this would be linked in the future to "health care". We've discussed this "chipping" in the past here.

I think if used for those with serious medical issues or mental health probems - the other concerns might be less important than the need to provide fast treatment or find someone lost.

My pets have been implanted with chips for many years now - and have never had a side effect or problem with it.

  • I know Terra's brainy, but I want to know how many different brains she has.
  • I think it comes to down to "what do I get out of it"?

Chipping your dog? YES! Chip your dog! Chipping an Alzheimer's patient? Yes! That is a very good idea! Chipping a healthy guy in his 20s? Well.... what does he get out of it? So far, not much. Nothing that can't be covered by Location Services on a cell phone, and Seasoned had a point--it does absolutely nothing for you online.

  • Yeah, there are a ton of coincidences, BIG ONES AND MANY. The government IS NOT TO BE TRUSTED and AT THEIR BEST, they are INCOMPETENT. So even if they had the best of intentions, and never strayed from their ideals, the idea of a microchip is a BAD one. Imagine if someone else ended up having the same value as you. DON'T think that unlikely! Network cards were supposed to have a unique number, but some manufacturers took shortcuts, so that disappeared, Imagine if someone somehow stole your chip, or even chopped off an appendage to get it. Or what if someone just slipped up or it was merely disabled.

And EVEN if they never intended it to be for money, and never intended it to be used in such a way, IT WILL BE! Think I am crazy? OK, there IS a number USED FOR ID for retirement that became, NOT TO BE FOR IDENTIFICATION elsewhere, ETC.... It then became one for welfare, work, banking, insurance, etc... SOCIAL SECURITY. There was even a law forbidding the private sector from using it as an ID, and yet they still did. Of course the GOVERNMENT likes it internally, and in finance, since they can have everything interlinked. With the laws there, they can tie all this stuff together. THEIR free use of this number, IRONICALLY, hurts the SECURITY of SOCIETY!

As for getting all chipped by 2017? I doubt they could do it THAT fast, but it may already be in the works. Perhaps MILLIONS of people in the US have been chipped, and many don't even know it, various organizations facilitated that on the pretense of security of society or the one being chipped. Will THOSE chips be grandfathered in? Perhaps they are THE chips the government always intended to use. HECK, they could be chipping BABIES now without any other party knowing or asking.

The scariest part is that the federal government has gone WAY beyond its prescribed jobs. It has changed from something to assist decent US citizens to one that is acting like those they were to protect us FROM.

NBC has recently predicted that in 2017, all of America will be tagged with microchips. ...report also reveals an RFID Brain Chip that has been developed and is currently being tested on several humans. It was reported that the use of Micro-Chips in Bill H.R. 4872 was located on Page 1014 under "National Medical Device Registry" it tells about a "Class II Device That is Implantable" and yes, they passed the bill. Am I the only one that finds this scary as heck?
