I LOVE this show! Has anyone seen it lately this season?

Also, I'm voting for Van. Not just because he's cute , but so far, he's done done some good cooking. He has little temper problem, though.

What's the deal with that marine guy? I honestly think that something is seriously wrong with him.

Such competitions have, traditionally, tried to look for volcanically emotional people. Sadly, for cooks, you want dilligent and nice. WHO KNOWS how they walk that thin line?

That guy was an ex-marine, if I remember correctly. I wonder how he took it, if I drill Sgt got in his face.

Being a cook is stressful. I used to be a waitress and I was stressed, so I can just imagine what being a cook would be like.

I was the Chef deGrande Manger at Albany Country Club in the 80's and stress doesn't begin to describe that job.
Every day form April thru Labor day the exec. chef and myself worked 6 1/2 days a week with most days 14 to 16+ hour days.
I was responsible for everything cold that left the kitchen from a simple garnish or salad to fancy cakes and ice carvings.
Like I said the stress is off the scale, but the satisfaction and pride you get from doing something very few people can do is worth it.
There was one member who had clients that visited from Germany a couple of times a year. He always requested I make a German Cheese Cake for the dessert cart whenever they where in town. They said when they ate my cheese cake it was like being in Germany. If it wasn't for my bad knee and back, I'd still be chefin' for a living, loved the stress and the satisfaction.

By the way I've worked with chef's like him and on some days was a chef like him. Ask any dishwasher who dared give me a dirty plate or utensil, or any of the part time assistants I had who screwed up

I cant watch this for more than 5 minutes. I'm sorry, I just dont get sucked in by the drama of pasta, or the nail biting properties of soup.

This is a hoot to watch, though I do find his other show more enjoyable most of the time.

    Pretty good show.

That marine guy was out of control. Even when hey were enjoying their award for winning a comp he was surly. I know I would probably get into an argument with Ramsey if I was dealing wit him but NOT when all he did was ask a simple questions "Who do you nominate and why?"

Dude just SNAPPED. I almost thought he was an actor because who acts like that.

I've watched the show a few times...Just reminds me of my early 20's when I was a cook that chef's are the biggest !&@$#! in the world.

I'm with Kim, I liked the other show better where Ramsey would take a run down, money losing restaurant and turn it into a winner.

My husband and I are addicted to Hell's Kitchen. It's one of those shows that gets better and better every season. Hubby used to be a cook and said Hell's Kitchen makes it look way too easy
