Why Good People Suffer While Bad People Enjoy Their Life?

Since I was a child , I always used to believe(was made to believe by elders) that if you do good things, good will come to you. Yet,even after graduating college, I do not see this being true.

That although, is the problem, the bigger problem is, I'm used to being good to people, kind , soft spoken, caring that the listener doesn't get hurt in these years.

I asked this same question to someone and got this answer:

"Good people believe that if they do good, good things should happen to them in return. But this simply is a flawed assumption.
Life Is Not Fair!"

Well, I believe there has to be something more to this.

Really? If I decide to become a really bad guy right now(will take lots and lots of practice because I'm trained to be a good one since many years) , and act, do what they do, not be good.....that is all there is to it?

You just get away being a bad person in life? I'm sure there will be so many saying God wll punish them ,etc etc etc , but hey, have you seen this happen? like, ever?
At least I haven't ,and people I know have the same opinion,I'm not sure what the rules of life are!

Bad people eat good ones for lunch because they don't care what they do to others. A good person will feel a bite in their consciences if they do something that hurts someone else, while a bad one only cares what will benefit them. Most good people can't even imagine the frame of mind of the truly "bad" (i.e. psychotic) person, so they never expect someone to do anything to them that will make life hard for them.

If you're watching for karma to hit - good luck. When corruption is as widespread as it is in this society, the people don't have much left that they can use to turn things around.

    Hi,
-Good people always do care for others, always think before speaking, and good people always expect little care from others, that's the only reason they always get hurt.
-People are not bad situation bring them into bad ones, they get hurt by someone, so they have learned the lesson of their life. That's why they don't care about anyone except their self and enjoy more movement of life then good ones.

  • Sometimes I also got the same feelings. Life is not fair. And I also wanted to be a really bad guy once, but the thing is we are born with good hearts in our nature. You might say life sucks, however, being nice to others you just can get more than money or power, you get care from the ones you love and the ones love you. Life's short, too. Which one is more important?

Yes, most of us could become master criminals and get away with it, but it is dumb, when the honest way can achieve the same result, albeit take longer!

I think that you are getting nice and helplessness mixed in together!

It is usually the down to earth, help anyone, types that get slaughtered when l crazy goes nuts with a gun or bomb.

True they are nice, but they also don't believe in all that intuition six sense stuff!

So someone who goes with popular media and never questions anything can get clobbered in more ways than the one above. Stupid, no, naive yes!

God doesn't punish anyone, someone nasty passes away and has a life review, or witnesses all that they have done good and especially bad, so they can feel what they put someone through, not to judge or punish, but for learning!

So the good have a reasonably easy life review, but the badder the individual the more unpleasant the review!

And the badder the act the more live's that individual may have to go through to turn it around!

Yes, Tessler wanted to help the poor in his time, but was stopped by rich industrialists.

Others have tried to push magnetic generators, one wanted to commercialize a viable one, in the 70's but was stopped!

So to out think the sociopaths you have to get devious, but in a nice way?

      Both l think!

Money equals helping the poor, and out flanking the sociopaths that don't care!

I'm not sure what the rules of life are!
What makes you think others know those "rules"?

From your threads I get the impression of a rather dissatisfied, though privileged, young man. If you think your life is 'unfair' I suggest you look at how some people are forced to live in parts of the world where there is war or famine. I mean - really look at how people live and how desperately they try to protect their children from atrocities. It might give you some perspective. THAT is real life, too - so what are you complaining about?

I don't think it's about "good" or "bad" - if you are a kind person you can't turn into a thug because you don't like the "rules of life". You have to live with your own conscience in the end.

You can, however, get outside your mind and DO something for others - or for yourself - that is outside your comfort zone. I think you have too much time to worry about things. You are at a point (school done - life ahead) when you have to decide WHO you are and WHAT your substance is.

I've seen bad people be punished - and I've seen good people punished, too. It's real life and there are not promises and no guarantees. You get to do your life just once - so live life to YOUR standards and don't worry about what others do.

Exactly what reward do you think you'll get from being good? Bad people often spend years of their life in jail. Other bad people have few real friends and few opportunities in life.

Do you expect a bundle of money to show up on your doorstep because you are good? Just wondering.

If you had to be trained to be a good person, I'm guessing that deep down inside you're not.
Like Suzanne asked, what reward where you expecting?

        Joshua;

Nobody thinks they are a bad person.

Good people suffer? Bad people enjoy their life? Really?

I have one for you (since we are making simplistic blanket statements)..

Why do people who exercise and eat right...still die, when people who live on Coke and candy bars live long lives? It's so unfair.

Wait......Students that do their homework, still get hit by cars, and criminals still live to 85 years old.

Who is in charge of this nonsense? Because, whoever is in charge, is screwing up!

Why do intelligent people quit this forum, and we get posts by silly people who live in their Mom's basement?

        Somebody answer me!

Another question; The phone rings, and I pick it up...someone talks to me...but I can't see the person. Where are they? And don't tell me that they aren't in the phone! NASA won't answer my questions, and Monsanto is refusing my phone calls!

Corporations are behind it, I tell you! Mars Corporations!

Because there's just not that much to keep oneself occupied in mom's basement. Trust me on this.

It is a flawed concept but was there ever a time in your life when you had difficulty sleeping at night or feel uncomfortable or had a hard time looking at yourself in the mirror?

Being a bad person may mean you get to experience luxury, eat better, live an extravagant life but people hate them and when bad things happen to them no one would help them and instead would wish them dead. They also had to drink sleeping pills and they experience so much stress.

On the other hand good people may sleep in a not so comfortable bed but they get to sleep comfortably without care, without their conscience bothering them. They may eat less, but they feel happy. What's more when bad things happen to them there will always be someone to lend a helping hand and people would always wish them well.
