Hey guys, seeing as how I was recently banned for accidentally posting in the wrong forum. I misunderstood what someone told me and placed it in the wrong forum...
Anyway, besides that, I've got a question.

I've noticed people have been advertising, or, giving away free websites and free graphics in the Website Design forum... Am I able to do that without consequence?

I don't know whether it's against the rules because it's technically advertising, or not because they're free giveaways.

What do you think, and should I?

      One of them says they're doing it just to get their name out, which is what I'd like to do. I'm a graphics designer and don't have the money to post a full advertisement yet. So, I thought, why not just give out some free stuff to get popular first?

      No direct advice as I don't put a link in my sig, but have you asked the help desk? That's where I would go first, especially if I wanted to avoid mistakes.
