I wonder what excuse some people will use now. That the police altered the video surveillance or that it was a hoax lol

So you're saying because this particular guy had a gun that police aren't really killing unarmed people? lol.

No there are some really bad cops that do kill unarmed people.

But I also think there is a certain group of people who automatically think when a young black teen is shot by a cop that it must be racially motivated without any sort of provocation .

Let's see... I think I've heard this song before.

        DumbAss gets shot.

Lying, entitlement-mind, sack-of-shit friends and family of DumbAss declare his sainthood.

As facts come out, they prove the quality and character of DumbAss, his family and friends.

alice (al sharpton) comes on the scene and makes long speeches that are short on facts but serve to stir up the crowd and get him air-time on CNN/MS-NBC/Fox, etc.

Large crowds of zombies form, start chanting and demand justice for DumbAss.

Ironically, DumbAss already has his justice, he has bullet holes in him.

        Yep, SSDD.

What or who would be the certain group of people?

People need to get out more. Arrests of young black men men are made all the time that involve shootings (particularly drug related) where no one of any color raises a wimper of anything much less race.

Now do the news trucks rush down there with live coverage? Nope but when there is a question you bet there will be a journalist down there faster than The Flash to see if theres a career boost that can be made out of it.

You need to know that the perception of a trend is often not reality but framed by the trend of what gets reported by the media and what doesn't.

Nope. Nobody said anything like that.

Your level headed objective interpretation is a refreshing change, from people just grouping all these incidents together, and making a blanket statement. I applaud your judgement.

Yes. The vast majority of us automatically revert to our "side" of the issue. Either all of these police shootings are unwarranted and evil, or they are all vicious perpetrators who deserve to get shot. We have just seen an example of both here, already.

Score one for the police on this occasion and I doubt anyone except his family will be trying to raise the shot person to sainthood on this one.

But the fact remains that way too many unarmed people are getting killed by the police in this great country of ours. It's been going on for a long, long time and I hope all this exposure - thanks to the internet is the beginning of a process that will reduce the number of unnecessary police killings down to a minimum.
