    That's a funny pic with the newspapers because I never really thought about it like that but the newspaper was one way my father made himself unapproachable when we were kids.

    Now it's cell phones and tablets, etc. My brother's kids come down to see him and sit there with a cell phone in theirs hands the whole time they're here. He goes to his friends house to visit and they sit there with cell phones in their hands.

    It's all pretty ridiculous to me.

    I saw this 55ish year old man yesterday at Target. He was shopping and wearing large headphones (not ear buds cause he's old school. lol) to listen to whatever. I thought maybe he was temporarily disconnecting because we have so much stimulus in our lives. (I was needing a break from all the demands, responsibilities, and concerns I have.)
