I don't believe it. 40% of functioning adults...who have the right to vote, simply cannot be that stupid.

Yup. The last two episodes were brilliant. The Canadian wall...keeps us out of Canada. I loved it. "The most amazing, beautiful, stupendous wall". And the president of Canada looked a lot like...well...you know.

Sadly intelligence, or even a functioning thought process has never been a prerequisite for being able to vote.

I can't help wondering how many Canadians would actually help build the wall to keep that 40% of Americans in America. In fact it might give the United Nations something useful to do for a change by pitching in to build it, just so that 40% are kept away from the rest of the world.

Now before anyone accuses me of "America bashing", rest assured I'm not. If you asked a similar question in Australia you'd probably get a similar percentage of Australians who would like a wall to be built around Australia, despite the impossibility of the idea.

  • Here's the math:

    Population of US = 301,300,000

    4/10 wanna wall = 120,520,000

    US/Canada Border = 5,525 miles long

Hooman average shoulder width = 18"

    etc

    etc

Way I see it, if these guys are so cocksure they need a wall, let 'em fix it themselves by walkin' up to moose territory and standin' shoulder to shoulder in a hooman shield.

Might even make a 6-tier stack.

Not even King Kong is gonna mess with that f*cker.

We just had a two year old male wondering around Troy and Green Island a couple of days ago. When a moose is in their rut they go pretty much where ever they want. If a wall (or human shield) is in their way, it won't be for long.

Yeah, most Canadians are FINE with their country, and many probably prefer it to the US. If any DO come over, they are less of a drain on the US. They can be understood, and are less likely to just go on welfare.

Do people cross that border? YEP! MOST Canadians, perhaps ALL, come over LEGALLY! Do they overextend their stay? SURE some do. But they are probably in the small minority. Do OTHERS come over? CERTAINLY! THOSE should certainly be watched. Do THEY overextend their stay? Probably more than the Canadians. But nearly all of them paid quite a bit for the "privilege". It isn't like Miami or the south border.

CANADA: ~35million Large border leading to mostly content people that can easily assimilate and there is less likelihood of others to come in.
MEXICO: ~121million Small border leading to apparently mostly NON content people that mostly REFUSE to assimilate and there is a high likelihood that others will come in.

So where do YOU think is the better place to build a wall? HECK, Canada could have been the US. There WAS a war to make it part of the US. I don't like the idea of such a silly war, especially so late in the game(it was over 40 years after the US gained its independence, and apparently started by the US), but it happened.

That's what I thought when I saw the OP -- are they sure it's not Canadians that want the wall and not us?

When I was a kid you didn't even need a passport to go to Canada. We had a car load of 15 - 16 year old kids cut through Canada going through from Detroit, MI to get to Woodstock. We didn't even get stopped at the border. I'm sure we weren't the only Hippie mobile going through, either.

The last time I talked to any Canadians here in the states was last summer in Oregon. They were on a cycling (bikes, not motorcycles) tour. They said that they were surprised by the US and were going home because they were finding the US (and it's people) scary.

I'd say if they'd said Southern border, their estimate would be anywhere from on the mark to low.................but I can't imagine anyone from the US caring about a Canadian border. There's already some pretty good security up there. Canada doesn't want our illegals up there.

And you, or at least Claude, would have to become polite, and get some nice leather and faux fur clothing as well as the denim. (That's how Vancouver seemed to be years ago when we visited. Long line at the concession stand at a movie theater and the neatly dressed people were telling each other to go first.)

Yea, I saw most of the movie - a romantic comedy with the visa problem twist. Pretty funny.

          - Celine Dion has maintained her Canadian citizenship.

          - Jim Carrey and Pam Anderson both have duel citizenship.

          - Mike Myers reportedly holds Canadian, U.S. and British citizenship.

          - Michael J. Fox Becomes American Citizen 18 July 2000.

I think most Canadians who do become American citizens have or had large incomes and may be doing it primarily for the tax benefits but if you have more than one citizenship, do you pay taxes in all the countries involved?

      Good point.

Immigration without assimilation is an invasion.

    Kinda like a wannabee wall.
